Two Romantic Hearts xxx

 Hi BPM Fans!

Here we are approaching the end of another month! I hope you have been enjoying our month of "Romance" and have felt inspired by the DT creations!

Today I am sharing an idea for a romantic card - perfect for lots of occasions depending on what sentiment you use! Always great to have an idea for any occasion cards using the same stamp!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Vintage Style Dancing Couple
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Heart from Scribble Hearts & Elements Set designed by Pam Bray
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Two Hearts One Love Phrase
Blank Page Muse Stencil: Hearts and Broken Hearts designed by Stephanie Eaton
Base Card
Card front covered with ink stained paper towel OR Patterned Paper
White Paint
Stamp Pad & Scrap Card
Glue or double sided tape, spatula and scissors
Embellishments

Instructions:
Cover your card front with paper towel. I use the paper towel I have blotted excess ink sprays with. Alternatively use patterned paper or gelli prints cut to slightly smaller than your base card front. Use your stencil, white paint and a spatula to apply the stencil design randomly over the card front. Allow to dry.

Stamp your BPM stamps onto the scrap card using your choice of ink colour and your choice of card stock colour. I have chosen kraft card and a red ink pad to co-ordinate with my paper towel background. Have fun with different coloured inks for your main images no need to stick to just black! Fussy cut your stamped images.

Adhere the hearts, vintage couple and wording along with any embellishments to the card front.

This card works well with any romantic wording/phrase stamps. Perfect for a wedding or engagement card or for your valentine/special person!

Happy stamping and creating and thank you for joining me again today!

Sharon

Purple Artist Trading Coins

Hello all you Blank Page Muse fans. Cathy here with 3 more Artist Trading Coins.
Don't know why I made 3 at a time but I do.They are just so fun to make!
Can you believe tomorrow is the last day of August?
Summer just went too fast for me!

Stamps Used:
Chicken mesh by Pam Bray
Corrugated heart by Pam Bray
Whimsical flower by Pam Bray
Art word by Pam Bray
Octopus with top hat from Octopus Time sheet
Faded page text by Terri Sproul
Artist Trading Coin back

Other Supplies:
100LB cardstock
Circle die
Black ink
Distress Oxide
Distress ink
Glue
Heat gun
White embossing power
Wiggle eyes
White cardstock
Copic Marker

Frist make the center of the Artist Trading Coin. Cut 2 circles from the 100LB cardstock. Glue the 2 circles together.
Then take some purple colors of Distress Oxide and smooch them on the craft sheet. Then drag 3 different circles through it. Dry with heat gun or set aside to air dry.
Start by stamping text with some Distress ink randomly on the background. Use the same color ink as the Distress Oxide so it blends into the background.
Next stamp chicken mesh randomly in black ink.
Stamp flower on white cardstock and color center with Copic markers. Cut out and add to center of Coin. Edge Coin with black ink. Glue to one of the centers you made earlier.

This one stamp the octopus with a top hat in the center with black ink. Glue it to one of the centers you made earlier.
Then you glue wiggle eyes to the octopus and edge with black ink. It is always fun to add some wiggle eyes.
Last one. Stamp the text on the background with the Distress ink. Then stamp the heart in black ink in the center.
Then grab the ART word stamp and stamp and emboss in the middle of the heart. Edge with black ink. Glue it to the last center you cut out.

Last stamp the Artist Trading Coin back on pattern paper for all 3. Cut out and glue to all the 3 backs of Coins.

Grungy Greetings

Hello there!!
Jenn here sharing my grungy greetings cards using some amazing Blank Page Muse Stamps!

Stamps Used:

Other Supplies Used:
Ink Sprays
Cardstock
Adhesive runner
Glue
Dew Drops
Foam adhesives
Clear embossing powder
Black embossing powder
Embossing ink
Black Archival ink
Distress Ink
Stencil
Black Card bases 5 X 6.5

  • Start by stamping the heart and dragonfly onto cardstock using black archival ink pad.
  • Coat ink with clear embossing powder, shake off excess and heat set with heat gun.
  • Color the embossed images using inks or watercolors, let dry and cut them out. Set aside and move onto the backgrounds.
  • On the plain cardstock,  apply the ink sprays in desired colors with a stencil. Be sure to dry in between colors.

  • Cut two 5 1/2" X 4 1/4" pieces from this. Apply adhesive to the back and place on your card fronts.

  • Add the stamped cut-outs using foam adhesive squares as shown.

  • Use a sentiment stencil to trace out the words using embossing ink pen. Coat with black embossing powder, shake off excess, and set with heat tool. To add that splattered grungy look, add splatters of embossing ink before adding black embossing powder. Cut out and adhere to card fronts using adhesive foams.

  • For the inside of the cards, cut two 5.5" X 4.25" pieces of plain cardstock in light color such as ivory. Use the same heart and dragonfly stamps and black archival ink pad to stamp onto plain cardstock. Only stamp half of the stamp on bottom edge.

  • Use adhesive on the back and adhere to the inside.

  • Add some dew drops or other bling in your stash randomly to the front and there you go!

Do something that makes you happy!

Since it's February, I wanted to do something a little pink & whimsical. I love the diamond pattern on my scrap paper so it was the perfect backdrop for my art journal page!

Supplies:

Blank Page Muse: Every Single Day Do Something That Makes You Happy
Blank Page Muse:  Heart With Small Crackle Texture
Blank Page Muse:  Flowers & Leaves Border
White printer paper
White acrylic paint
Scrap of scrapbook paper
Olive oil
Wax paper
Brushes
Blank journal page
Watercolor crayons
Colored ink
Black Stabilo pencil
Rose Gold spray
Black archival ink
Matte gel
Adhesive

1.  On your printer paper, stamp your images with black ink & cut down to a smaller size - we're going to make vellum!

2.  Put your pieces on top of wax paper - the oil will soak through & you need something underneath to protect your work surface. Brush olive oil on your pieces, then wipe off with a paper towel front & back. The oil has now made the paper see-through (I laid them on top of my patterned paper so you can see the affect).

3.  Use your watercolor crayons to add a little color to your vellum.

4. Cover your page with a coat of acrylic paint. I like it a little thin & not fully covered. Then layout your pieces & adhere them to the page.

5.  Add your finishing touches by spritzing/flicking your spray & outlining your vellum pieces with black pencil.

I really love making my own vellum & using Blank Page Muse Stamps is a fun - and different - way to really personalize your projects!

Heart Canvas

Hi Mo here again, almost Valentines day so thought to do a heart canvas for my Sin City inspiration post.

Supplies used:
Sin City stamp set Skeletons Halloween
Sin City stamp set Wing it
Canvas 10 x 10 cm
Tissue paper
Acrylic paint in : Desert turquoise, True Red
Fluid acrylics in Cobalt Teal Hue and Primary yellow
Metallic silver paint
Triple thick gloss glaze
Decoupage glue for napkins
Waterproof stamp ink in black
Heart wings die and machine
Chipboard ( I used a box from a frozen pizza)
Craft mat
Paintbrushes
Baby wipes or wet cloth
Permanent black marker.
Adhesive

1. Paint the canvas turquoise.
2. Die cut the heart, wings and crown from your chipboard.
3. Paint the heart red and the wings and crown silver.
Set aside to dry.

4. Cut a piece of the tissue paper big enough to cover the whole canvas and use a waterproof ink to stamp the Ornate Metalwork look stamp to make the background.
5. Paint the backside of the tissue paper with the turquoise paint to get a brighter color when it is glued to the canvas.

6.Using a paint brush, spread some black paint onto your craft-mat and press the Ornate Metal work stamp into the paint then quickly stamp it onto the heart.
7. Repeat this step using the Wing it set stamps onto the silver painted wings.
8. Clean the paint off the rubber stamps quickly using a baby wipe or wet cloth.

9. Adhere the the tissue paper to the canvas with decoupage napkin glue.

10. Apply a layer of gloss glaze on the heart and let dry

11. Paint a piece of the chipboard with red paint and stamp the sentiment from the Wing it set on it.

11. Cut out the words (as shown above) and use the marker to line the edges black.

12. If you want to add more color to the canvas (as I have done), mix yellow and turquoise translucent paints to achieve a brighter color.

13. Attach all your pieces to the canvas with adhesive.
