Decorated Bag Idea

Today DT Member Sharon is sharing some super quick decorated paper bags!
Get the kids to help with the painting and stamping and then they can use the bags for adding treats as gifts for their friends!
Sharon started with some tiny paper bags and used a spatula to add some coloured paints and once dry she stamped with coloured ink.
Pop a choccy inside and you have a little sweet treat gift idea!
Use the same process on bigger bags to wrap gifts in!
Have fun!

Using more than one stamp in a project

Today our DT Member Sharon is showing an idea for making backgrounds using multiple stamps, paints, inks and clear packing tape!
Sharon loves to create lots of tape strips at a time - she leaves them hanging from her craft cupboards until she needs to make a quick creation and adds the decorated tape to blank card or old book pages and she has the perfect background for all sorts of things like tags, ATC's and adding interest to her journal pages!
We think it's a great idea to have these on hand to lay with!
There are lots of Youtube videos on how to use your Gelli Plate to "pull" designs on the tape so get googling, grab your fav background stamps from the BPM Store and have fun creating!

Stamps by Pam Bray Designs used on these strips!

Perfect backgrounds for bookmarks, tags, atc's, cards - anything!

Stamps by Magda Polakow!

Precut boxes are great to be able to decorate whilst they are still flat and then once "adorned" they can be constructed and are ready for use!

Quick Ideas Mail Art

Hello all

I have a few quick ideas for mail art using the rubber stamp sets available at The Blank Page Muse.
This main stamp is from Sending Smiles, rubber stamps designed by Rick St Dennis.
The smaller stamps to fill the background are from Pam Bray Designs, Background Grunge.

products used
Start off with one texture stamp and use this to create a boarder around the envelope.
Stamp out the focal images onto the center of the envelope and leave a space for the address.

Next fill in the spaces using different texture stamps. Layer them by using different coloured inks.
The Unicorn rubber stamps are from the stamp set designed by Donna Gray, Unicorn Wishes.

A Little Birdie Told Me

Hello, hello! Samantha here with another quick and easy card to share with you all today. It's no secret that the bird from the Flower & Bird Sketches Art Rubber Stamp Set is one of my all time favorite stamps. That's why I reach for it as often as I do and I hope that my love for it will inspire you.
Remember to use code BPMDtSamantha2019 to save 15% off of your next order!

For this card I stamped my bird onto white cardstock with black ink. I colored it in using alcohol based markers but decided that it was too dark. So I colored over the marker with crayons! Regular old Crayola crayons.
Next, completely experimenting, I applied odorless mineral spirits over the crayon and it blended. So super cool. I did a bit of stamp surgery to the "A little birdie told me..." Phrase stamp and stamped it below the bird.

I layered the panel to a card base on which I'd adhered a background die. Then I added some feather die cuts to cover a huge boo boo.
Remember that mistakes are really just opportunities for embellishment!

Easy enough, right? Make sure you check out the video I did featuring this gorgeous bird stamp and don't forget to subscribe to the blog!

Until next time,
Samantha

Beach Tote

Hello! Kelly here today with a quick tip on making those plain grocery bags into something spectacular!!

I don't know about you, but I have lots of those reusable totes for groceries, the beach, and shopping in general. You know the ones, they usually have a big logo on one side and are made of plastic but are reusable. Well, I was headed to the beach the other day and I was looking for a tote to put all of the towels into when I came across one with pink palm trees all over it...now I am not sure where I got this one, it doesn't have the store logo on it but it did need a make-over!! Here is what it looked like...not the prettiest bag I have ever seen but I thought I could make it work with some stamps and ink!

So with that thought, I pulled out my Stazon Inks and the following stamps -

Just stamp the images onto the tote with Stazon and let dry for a few minutes, your tote is now ready for the beach.

Stazon ink can be used on many items such as hard plastic, fabric, shrink plastic, cellophane, glass, leather, metal, and more!!

Quick and Easy Zombie Card

BOO!   Zombie greetings to you!  Today I am sharing this quick and easy stamped card I created with Blank Page Muse Stamps.

Supplies Used
Card Stock
Wood Zombie Cut out
Distress Ink Markers
Embossing Ink and powder

Stamp Blank Page Muse Halloween Cobweb with Spider Art Rubber Stamp  onto 4 card stock squares.  Emboss with white embossing powder.  Note:  I wanted a grungy look so I did not treat my card stock to remove the static in order to get lots of stray embossing spots.

Mat onto card stock (I changed my card stock color during my planning process.)  Color Wood zombie as desired.  I created a hand written banner as my greeting and added to card  to finish.

Butterflies and Kitties Photo Brag Book

Hello, hello. Samantha here to share my latest project with you; a super cute brag book featuring some of the beautiful butterflies from the Dandelion Wishes with Butterflies Art Rubber Stamp Sheet by Terri Sproul. I love having physical photos and what better way to share them than with a fun and unique brag book?

To create this project I created my brag book and pocket folder. I stamped the butterflies all over the pocket folder.

Then I stamped the butterflies onto white cardstock, fussy cut them out, and used them to decorate the photos of my cats in my brag book.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my project. I hope you like it. Make sure you head over to the Blank Page Muse Facebook Fan Group for Fan Art Friday!

Until next time,
Samantha

Day of the Dead Card

Hello, Kelly here with a quick Day of the Dead card.

This card was created with several flower stamps from Blank Page Muse!

Whimsical 5 Petal Doodle Flower
Background Roses
Flowers from Flamingo Row
Small Sunflower Blossom

Other supplies used -
TCW Stencil - Day of the Dead
Distress Oxide Inks
White Cardstock
Black Cardstock
VersaFine Clair Nocturne

To start off, using DO squeezed lemonade ink all over the background, then stamp the Background Roses with DO Wilted Violets over the yellow. Lay the stencil on top of the stamped background and blend DO worn lipstick over the stencil for the skull. then use a micron pen to outline the skull face on the card and give it highlights with a white gel pen.

Stamp the flowers on white cardstock, and color with DO inks in Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick and Carved Pumpkin let dry then fussy cut out the flowers. While the flowers are drying, use the DO Carved Pumpkin along the edges of the card.

When the flowers are dry, gently curl the edges up around the center of the flower slightly to give them some dimension. Stack the flowers over each other until you like the arrangement and glue down.

Glue this finished panel to a black cardstock panel then adhere to a white card.

Hope you like this quick card and stop by our other links for more projects and ideas!
