Vintage flower by Cathy N

Good morning, Cathy here with a vintage card for you today.

                                                                   Stamps Used:

                                                              Handwritten note

                                                             Ornate metalwork

                                                              Flower

*Start out with cream cardstock and distress spray ink in tea dye. Make the background.

*This is how I use my un-mounted stamps. I take painter's tape and put it all over the back of the stamp.

* Here it is on my stamp platform.

*Stamp the flower in the middle with some distress oxide ink. Then stamp ironworks in distress tea dye ink around the card.
*Lastly stamp the handwritten note in black ink also around the card.

Stained Glass Flowers

Hello from design team member, Heidi.  The I Brake for Stamps shop has a wonderful selection of Stained Glass stamps.  I decided to use this one today because the diamond shape really caught my eye!

I heat embossed the stamp with white powder on watercolor paper.  I then colored in the sections with Tombow water-based markers.  I then blended the color, section by section, with a paintbrush dipped in water that I had mixed with Perfect Pearls.  It is really obvious in person, but only the close-up photo shows the lovely shimmer!

I was in a bit of a traditional mood, so I finished off the card with old patterned papers from my stash and some gems.

This stamp is part of MS89 Full Plate, along with 8 other images, in the I Brake for Stamps shop.  The sentiment is from Quarter Sheet Dahlia.

Thanks for visiting today and have a wonderful day!

Bloom Where You Are Planted

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here again wishing for the flowers to start appearing.

Supplies:

Blank Page Must Stamps - Classic Wild Flowers Background,
Cardstock
Ink

Large stamps are wonderful for creating backgrounds.  This stamp measures approximately 4" x 5".

Wanting gradient colors for the background, the stamp was inked with 3 shades of blue ink.

Cutting the panel, it was then inked with another shade of blue.  Distress Oxide Ink was used to create a soft effect over the stamped background.

The panel was matted with orange cardstock creating a nice contrast once placed upon a blue card.

The phrase was stamped on a white panel, then matted with orange and blue cardstock before being placed on the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by.

Floral Bouquet Tag

Hi everyone! Tonya here with a floral tag I created! I don't know about you but I am longing for warmer weather and all the things that goes with spring. So I had the urge to create something floral and this is what I came up with. I used the Floral Spray Sunflowers Chrysanthemum Rubber Stamp by Pam Bray.

Supplies Used

Blank Page Muse: Floral Spray Sunflowers Chrysanthemum Rubber Stamp

Tag

Ink and Watercolors

Watercolor Brush

Scraps of Patterned Cardstock

Thread and Seam Binding

Damask Embossing Folder

Diecut Machine

Paper Cutter

Scissors

Gems and Flatback Pearls

Foam Pop Dots

I first started by embossing the tag with a Damask Embossing Folder and then I lightly inked over the raised edges with pink ink.

I stamped the Floral Spray Stamp twice onto a piece of watercolor paper, painted both images and fussy cut all out.

I adhered a banner, diecut (from my stash) and scraps of patterned cardstock to the tag. For the main flowers I added foam pop dots to the back and placed on the tag and then I adhered leaves, vines and smaller flowers behind the larger flowers.

The second sunflower image I shaped and adhered on top of the other sunflower to give it dimension. I added a large gem to the center of the sunflower and the smaller flowers I placed flatback pearls in the center of each one. I also added several loops of thread in different areas for texture. I finished  off by tying a seam binding bow to the top of the tag.

There you have it! I hope you have been inspired to create your own tag! As always if you have questions about this project please let me know. Also if you aren't following Blank Page Muse on their social medias you can find them on:

Sweet Scented Flowers!

Hi BPM Fans!!!
You know Xmas is coming so I have a quick gift idea to share with you today - super simple and only a few supplies required!!
Hope you feel inspired to have a go - I always love decorating soaps and using them as gifts!
One of the best things is you can use any stamps, card and coloured embossing powder for this project!
Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Whimsical Daisy by Pam Bray Designs
Oatmeal Coloured Card
Embossing Ink Pad
Black Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
Handmade Soaps
Scissors, double sided tape, string, ruler, cutter
Instructions:

Start with your card, stamp and embossing supplies. Randomly stamp over the card with your stamp, cover with embossing powder and heat set.

Cut the embossed card into strips slightly smaller than your soap as shown below so when you wrap the soap you can still get the colour contrast as well as the embossed strip. Use string or fibres of your choice to tie a basic knot or bow around your soap. You may want to use double sided tape to secure the embossed card before tying the string.

Make several at a time so you can have a set to use as a gift! Quick and easy but a really great way to be creative with your gift giving. Make some spooky Halloween themed ones for the Trick or Treaters!

Thanks for joining me today!
Happy Stamping!!
Sharon

Romance Candle...

We have a great romantic creation to share today made by our DT member Sharon - a fun altered candle which is so quick and  easy but makes a perfect gift for any occasion.
Sharon has used one of the flower stamps from one of the new stamp sets by Pam Bray Designs "Scribble Hearts & Elements".

This technique is so easy with limited supplies required.
All you need is a plain colored candle, tissue paper stamped with colored ink and a heat tool!

Simple stamp the images you want to use, tear out from the tissue paper, place over the candle and use the heat tool to "melt" the tissue into the candle.
Finish off by tying a bow of sheer ribbon around the candle and you have a lovely gift!

Hello Llama!

Our DT Member Sharon has created these fabulous decorated envelopes which are perfect for you to use in your crafty swaps or regular snail mail letters!
Who doesn't love to receive a colorful stamped envelope in the mail? Especially when envelopes are so quick and easy to "adorn" there is no excuse for sending boring snail mail ever again!
Sharon used blobs of paint and an old gift card to cover the envelope background then embossing ink and black embossing powder to stamp the images.
She used stamps from the Happy Day Llama Set by Pam Bray on the long envelope and a little flower from the Petals and Flowers Set by Michelle Frae Cummings.
The great thing about decorating envelopes is you can use any of your Blank Page Muse Stamps!!!
We hope you feel inspired to have a go!
