Magic Night Tag

Hello Sin City Fans,
Here is today's "Quick Idea" to create a simple Halloween tag in a flash! 
Use the multi-generational stamping technique to add depth to the background.
 First generation: ink the stamp and make an impression.
 Second generation: don't re-ink the stamp just re-position it and press it to the paper again.
You may even apply a third generation impression.
With each impression the intensity of the design lightens. 
The keys were stamped around the edge using this technique.

How To Create A Spell Binding Halloween Card

Hello all

Here is another Halloween card made using Sin City Stamps!

Halloween Bingo Rubber Stamp Set

Halloween On a Shelf

Halloween patterned paper

White Card

Purple ink pad

Sepia ink pad

Brown ink

Crackle medium

White paint

Cover the card with patterned paper.

Stamp cob webs into the corners of the card.

Stamp the bingo stamp onto card stock and ink over with brown ink.

Allow to dry and then paint over with the crackle medium.

Once set dry brush with white paint and wipe off excess.

Stamp out potion bottles and brush with brown ink.

Add crackle medium to the bottles and once set dry brush with white paint.

Cut them out and adhere them to the corner of the bingo card.

Add a sentiment

Halloween Treat Box

Greetings Chris here and today I am excited to share this cute Halloween treat box.

Supplies needed:

Sin City Stamps Fall Bare Tree
Sin City Stamps Halloween Cobweb
Sin City Stamps Boo!!! Word
Archival Black ink
Cricut cartridge with Box cut or box template
Tag Punch
Spider punch
Kraft Card Stock
Ribbon

1. Die cut box and score edges.  Don't fold yet as it is easier to stamp when box is open.

2. Stamp Sin City Stamps Bare Tree and Sin City Stamps Halloween Cobweb over box

3. Fold box and tie ribbon to close box.

4. Punch tag and stamps with Sin City Stamps Boo!!! Word and attach to box, adding punched spider.

Hello Peeps,

  Today's card is one of my favorites.  I think it can be used for many different occasions. I like the old time effect that the Sin City Stamp Set Correspondence Pens, Ink & Postage gives to the card. I have created the card using the collage technique.

Supplies:

  Sin City Stamp: Correspondence Pens, Ink & Postage

  Grunge stamp

  Various collage pieces

  Brown  and black ink

  Cream colored card stock

  Foam Tape

Step 1:  Stamp the background using the script background stamp in brown.

Step 2:  Using brown ink blend/ink the edges of the card layer.  Add grunge spots to age/fill in the layer.  Not shown in this picture but, added to layer was additional stamping of the flourish stamp from this set to fill  in the open spaces.

Step 3:  Stamp in black ink various stamps: pen, ink well, postage stamps and cancellation mark.  Cut out all of these stamps to be added to card.

Step 4:  Start assembling card layer by adding various collage pieces using foam tape to give the layer depth.

  I even stapled one of the pieces onto the layer.

Step 5:  Continue to layer on the pieces including the stamped pieces from the stamp set. Placement of collage pieces is always by personal preference.  I choose to rough up the edges of this layer to give it an even greater aged look.

Step 6:  Attach to cream card base.

I hope you like this card as much as I do.  As always, feel free to take this design and make it your own by adding which ever pieces you like.

Time Spirals Away Card

Hi Gals,
It's Karen here. I'm glad you stopped by for today's "Quick Idea."  I wanted to share a tip that has saved me many a heartbreak. After you've made a beautiful inked background, stamp your main design onto acetate using permanent ink. There is no chance of spoiling the background with a less than perfect image.

With rubber stamping, there really are no second chances. If you've ever dropped a stamp onto a project or become discouraged by your choice of placement, then this idea may help you. To avoid disappointment and frustration, I stamped the three clocks onto acetate and attached them with brads to the card. This method is much less stressful than DTP (direct to paper) and it also allowed me to try various positions before committing to the final placement. My lovely blue resist background with spirals became a finished card and not a tragedy of bad judgment or an "oops" moment.

Supplies: Birds Clocks Rubber Stamp Set (Sin City Stamps), clear acrylic mounting block, permanent black ink, acetate, gold brads, ephemera: key, flower, ticket

Halloween Ornament "Dead Men tell No Tales"

"Hi all, Monique here.

Halloween is getting near so its time to start working on decoration!

Supply list:

From Sin City Stamps

- Halloween Bingo Rubber stamp set and Halloween Takes flight set

Black waterproof stamp ink

Acrylic paint in neon orange, black and neon orange glitter

Wooden frame (mine is house shaped but any shape will do)

pencil and scissors

plastic Skull bead

black Ribbon

cardstock

glue

foam dots

Step 1 : Paint the frame orange (my frame had a heart in it so I removed that first).
 Take a piece of cardstock big enough to fit the frame and paint that orange too.
 When paint on the frame is dry add orange glitter paint over it.

Step2: Use the grave stamp and black ink to make an impression on the painted cardstock

Step 3:Use the frame and pencil to make outlines on the cardstock and cut it to fit the frame.

Step 4: Make an impression on the remaining orange cardstock using the owl stamp and black ink.

Then cut out the Owl .

Step 5: Take a piece of black ribbon and add the skull bead, attache the ribbon to the top of the frame. 

 Step 6: Adhere the frame to the stamped piece of cardstock.

 Step 7: Paint the edges of the frame black.

 Step 8: Stamp "Dead men tell no tales " on a piece of the orange cardstock

 Step 9: Cut the words apart , ink the edges and add foam dots to the back of the words.

Step 10: Adhere the words to the back ground and the owl to the frame.
