Multiple Stamps in Monochrome!

Hi BPM Fans!!

Have you been enjoying this month's DT inspiration?
Hope you have had time to play along with our "multiple" stamps challenge?
I love combining stamps and getting multiple uses from my stamp stash!

Today I am sharing a card using several BPM stamps and it's also a card that can be used for multiple purposes just by changing the sentiment which is another great way to get lots of uses from your stamps!

Hope you enjoy and have some time to get some stamping done yourself!

Remember to share your creations at the Facebook Group - we love to see how you use your stamps!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps:
Buttons and Bows Dress Form designed by Rick St Dennis
Dandelion Wishes with Butterflies sentiment "creativity" designed by Terry Sproul
Timeless Measurement Set designed by A Vintage Girl
Black Base Card
Card Front in Kraft Colour
Gesso, Stencil & Ink Spray
Kraft Card Extra & Brown Ink Pad
Embellishments of Choice
General supplies: scissors, glue, spatula, water spritzer

Instructions:

Use your stencil and apply Gesso to the card front, no need to cover the entire piece. Allow to dry and then use a brown coloured ink spray and water spritzer to add some colour. Set aside to dry while you stamp your images.

Stamp your chosen main images and sentiment onto Kraft card using a dark brown ink pad and fussy cut. You can either cut or tear around your sentiment.

Adhere the card front to the card base and arrange your elements onto the card front. Add any embellishments you like. As this is a "sewing" themed card I used haberdashery embellies! Once you are happy with the placement adhere all the elements.

You can adapt this card to any colour theme you like and any occasion you want!

Hope you enjoyed our inspiration for this month!
Be sure to pop back again for a new challenge and theme in March and lots more inspiration from the DT!

Happy stamping!

Sharon

"Cascadia" the Siren....

Hi Blank Page Muse Stamps Fans!!!
Well another month has nearly gone!!! Hope it has been a creative one for you all!

Today I have another "Under the Sea" themed creation using a fab "Mermaid/Siren" image designed by Rick St Dennis - I'm a big "Rick" fan and love to create with his detailed stamps!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Cascadia Mermaid designed by Rick St Dennis
Journal or Card
Archival Ink Pad
Old Book Pages eg. encyclopaedia, dictionary, thesaurus
Gesso & Muslin Cloth
Stencil & Texture Paste
Ink Sprays
Embellishments: fishing net, fishing line attachments, charms, string etc.
General Supplies: scissors, spatula, glue, mounting tape

(Shop now and save! Use code BPMDtSharon2019 to save %15 off your total order!)

Instructions:

We will start by creating the background page for our seductive mermaid!

Add a layer of Gesso to your journal page or card if working on a separate item. While the Gesso is still wet use a spatula (or your fingers LOL!!!) to adhere the muslin cloth to the page.

Next step is to stamp the mermaid onto an old book page. It's fun to stamp onto a "related" wording page ie. I stamped on a thesaurus page with "ocean" words - the same works for an encyclopaedia page etc. - it's fun to follow the theme with all the added elements to the page!!!

Tear out some wording from your book pages - used here the "siren" related paragraph from the thesaurus. Edge with the same archival ink you stamped your main mermaid image in.

Use a circle stencil and texture paste to add "bubbles" to your page LOL! Allow to dry.

Use ocean coloured ink sprays over the page. Metallic sprays add some nice shine to your page! Use a paper towel roll to absorb excess ink - a great way to make a multi coloured paper towel background for use on another creation!!!!

Arrange your stamped images and extra embellishments to the page and adhere with glue and mounting tape, allow to dry and your have a fab under the sea themed page! Lots of fab mermaid images available at the store to great pages with!

Thanks for stamping with me today!!! Have a creative week!

Be Fierce

We recently lost my grandma and I had the pleasure of being by her side at the end of her journey.  Towards the end, she was becoming afraid to be alone, mostly that no one would come when she called.  As I was talking to her, I told her to be fierce like a lion or dragon. ROAR so that they would hear her.  We even practiced roaring together!  I reminded her it was OK for her to ask the staff for things when she needed them! She continued her roar until close to the end. This project is my tribute to her.  Reminding me to fight and speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves!

Tworki Boy Mixed Media Tag

Hello all

I have a tag made for you with this adorable little chap!!

(Shop now and save! Use code BPMDtKatie2019 to save %15 off your total order!)

Take a blank tag and stamp the chain link background stamp over the top, apply ink to the sections of the stamp to create a faded effect.

Next take the rose stamps from the Background Grunge set and stamp them onto the tag using the different stamp sizes.

Apply a stencil mask onto the tag and let the modeling paste set.
Take some watercolour paints and using a water pen apply the colours onto the tag.

Stamp out the Tworki Boy stamp and colour in with marker pens.
I had to colour the main image again after realising that it got lost against the background
Sisal to the tag and then glue the main image down.

Glue on a free beads and enamel dots before finishing off with a sentiment.

Sirens Song

Sirens Song Watercolor Embossing Powder Resist Painting

Hi there, Stephanie here to share this dreamy watercolor painting featuring the beautiful Cascadia Mermaid. Watercolors are definitely my favorite medium and what fun it is to create with such a gorgeous siren and watercolors! This is my first watercolor and embossing powder resist painting. Let's get started!

Blank Page Muse Products used:
Cascadia Mermaid Stamp designed by Rick St. Dennis

(Shop now and save! Use code BPMDtStephanie2019 to save %15 off your total order!)

Other Products used:
watercolor paper
Brea Reese watercolor glitter inks
painters tape
embossing ink
heat gun
salt

Cover Cascadia stamp with embossing ink

Pour Vintage Beeswax embossing powder over Cascadia.

Before adding heat...

Starting the melt. I don't about y'all but I love watching the embossing powder melt! Look at the beautiful details in this stamp.

Tape down edges of the paper

Paint over embossed Cascadia stamp with water.

Paint over entire surface with Brea Reese watercolor ink.

Dab up some of the ink to create some texture

Paint the embossed mermaid with watercolor inks. I love how the watercolor pools and mixes inside the embossed image.

I sprinkled salt in the pools of watercolor around the entire page to create the bubbly texture you see below. Just sprinkle, let dry and rub off the salt.

To finish the painting I added a handwritten quote.

I hope you enjoy my painting and if you're craving more Blank Page Muse goodness follow the links below.
