Happy Father’s Day card

Hello there all our fellow BPM fans! Jess here with you sharing a card using some of those famous red rubber stamps!! This time it's a different masculine take on Father's Day. I just love this stamp set by Kate Leitch! Come along, let's craft a unique Father's Day card together!

I am in LOVE with this stamp sheet! The possibilities are endless!!

1. Cut your desired card size
Do you like using up scraps in your stash? Well, here's your chance
Pull out some of your paper scraps

2. Begin by cutting them at different lengths and sizes
3. Stamp and cut out your images using black ink

4. Take some large pieces of scrap paper and mount the two larger stamped images onto them
5. Cut them out leaving a thin boarder around the images

6. Start mounting your paper layers using tape

7. Use some foam dots or cardboard pieces to mount your top layer of stamped images

8. Adorn the card with some wooden gears adhering them with tacky glue

9. Finally, splatter the front of the card with watered down white and black gesso

You have finished your card!

Vellum Shaker Card

Hello, hello! Samantha here with another great Blank Page Muse project to share with you.

I love shaker cards. They are one of my most favorite types of cards to make.

Sending them can be a bit costly, though, due to their typically bulky construction. Enter the vellum shaker card. Low profile, more affordable to mail, and the vellum adds an almost ethereal touch.

For this card you will need:

Flower stamps from the Flowers and Bird Sketches Art Rubber Stamp Sheet
The Happy Birthday Phrase Rubber Stamp
Black A2 sized card base
Kraft cardstock trimmed to 5.25" x 4" (trim 1/16" off of one of the short sides and off of one of the long sides)
Vellum cut to 6.25" x 5"
Sticky Embossing ink pad
White embossing powder
Versafine ink in Onyx Black
Clear embossing powder
.25" wide double sided adhesive
Scoring board
Scoring tool
Colored pencils
Sequins

To begin you will stamp your flowers all across the kraft cardstock panel with a sticky embossing ink pad and heat set using white embossing powder.

Color your stamped images with colored pencils. I opted to leave the leaves and stems uncolored. I absolutely adore the look of colored pencils on kraft cardstock.

Score your vellum at .5" on all four sides and then apply your .25" wide double sided adhesive to the insides of your score lines.

Miter all four corners. In the image above I've shaded in the area on one corner to demonstrate what you should cut out. Mitering the corners will help the vellum lay a bit flatter.

Stamp and heat emboss the Happy Birthday sentiment to the front of the vellum.

Adhere your vellum to the back of the kraft panel on three sides, making sure you leave the adhesive attached to the top flap. You need this part open for sequins.

Add sequins! Be careful not to add too many; after all the point of a vellum shaker card is to have a low profile.

Adhere the top flap to the back of the kraft panel and attach to your black card base.

Easy peasy! I love how soft those beautiful flowers look behind the vellum.

Sunshine

Hello again, friends! Samantha here and I'm excited to be back on the blog sharing my card with you. I love these beautiful girl stamps. They're so much fun.
I was inspired to create this card by the way that this particular stamp looks like she's walking toward something. I thought that maybe she was walking toward the sunshine and as such I felt that the sentiment I used was perfect.

For this one layer card you will need:

White A2 (5.5" x 4.25") card base
Black ink
Masking tools of your choice
Inks for blending
Clear shimmer brush
Colored pencils

Stamp one of the girls from the stamp set onto the card base using black ink.
Cover the stamped image with a mask of your choice. I prefer to use notebook paper covered with repositionable adhesive.

Over the girl place a second mask. I used a piece of cardstock from which I'd die cut a circle. Tape down.

Using your inks, do some simple ink blending over the masked image.

I used Distress Inks in shades of blue, pink, and yellow.

Remove the circle mask. You should have something like this.

Take your sentiment stamp and, using black ink, apply to the lower left side of the stamped girl, slightly overlapping your ink blending.

Remove the mask from the stamped girl image.

Color the girl with any medium you'd like. I decided to go with colored pencils. I also chose to apply shimmer over the ink blended area with Wink of Stella. Completely optional but it does add a fun touch.
