Merry Christmas Cards

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today using some amazing stamps and from Blank Page Muse.

Using several shades of green ink, stamp the trees in several heights on white cardstock.
Create a vertical and a horizontal view.

Stamp Merry Christmas above the trees.
Mat the panel with green cardstock, then add to a brown card.
Add gems about the card.

Create the vertical card the same way, but add a strip of gems across the card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Steph

Just Quickly Before We Say Goodbye to the Festive Season..........

 Hi BPM Fans!

Well another silly season is over with! And Welcome to the New Year - 2021 - can you believe it?

It is very unusual for me to be creating something in advance of Xmas for this year BUT this is just a super quick idea for you to be able to recycle some of the Xmas cards you received and save adding them to landfill or if you had leftover store bought cards! This is a great way to "jazz up" store bought cards!

Supplies:

Blank Page Muse Stamps: Joyful Gnome Set designed by Pam Bray
Store Bought Xmas Cards/Recycled Xmas Cards Received!
Black Ink Pad & Scrap Card plus Colouring Mediums
Base Cards if using Recycled Card Fronts - Not Required if you have left over Store Bought Cards
General: tape, glue, scissors, colouring mediums, washi tape

Instructions:

If recycling received cards cut off the card front and adhere to a card base. If you are using unused store bought cards you are ready to decorate!

Stamp your images onto white card with black ink, colour and fussy cut.

Add some strips of washi tape to the card front.

Add your stamped images along with any embellishments to the card front and adhere.

Such a quick way to make multiple cards ready for the end of this year!

Thanks so much for joining me for the first time in 2021!!!

Happy stamping!

Sharon

The Joy of Christmas card

Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.  I wanted to show you one of the Christmas cards I created this year.  Although Christmas is over, you can use this technique year round.
You don't need a ton of stamps to create a beautiful card.  This lovely  card uses just one stamp.
Blank Page Muse Products used:
Holly and Branches Stamp

Other Products Used:
Distress Markers
Distress Ink- Pumice Stone
Emerald Creek Embossing Powder in Charred Gold
Tim Holtz Holiday Words Script Die and Funky Festive
Chipboard Doily Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts
Stamp Platform
Circle Punch
Ribbon
Cardstock
Adhesive

Start by trimming your card to the size you want it to be or use a precut card.
Mount your stamp to your stamp platform.  Color the stamp using various markers.

Don't be afraid to layer your colors.  The leaves will all turn out just a tad different and add a more realistic feel to your card.  If the marker dries as you are coloring just breathe on the stamp and it will rehydrate the ink.

Cover the entire piece of the card.  Once the holly is all stamped cover the entire card with a bit of Pumice Stone Distress Ink to age it.

Mount the base to the card.  Add a bit of ribbon.
Punch a circle out and color it using a bit of Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  Use the outer ring of the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Doily and emboss it.  Attach the doily to the circle.  Attach the circle to the card.
Use the Tim Holtz Script to die cut the word "joy" and adhere it to the center of the circle.
Add some holly cut from the Festive Funky die set to finish off the corner.

This will be my final monthly post for Blank Page Muse.  I have so enjoyed my time with the team over the past year.  I absolutely love the product, so this will not be the last you see of me!
Have a wonderful New Year,

Merry & Bright Card

Hello BPM Fans,

It's Karen here.   I hope you are enjoying a festive holiday season. Here is my quick card to inspire you and keep us in the Christmas spirit.  This is my non-traditional tree decorated with Christmas lights.  It is a very quick make and can be easily put together for that last minute unexpected guest, forgotten relative, or produced assembly line style for a long list of family and friends.  Here we go!

BPM Stamps:

Other Supplies:
  • black ink pad
  • clear mounting block
  • permanent markers
  • watercolor paints
  • black cardstock
  • vellum
  • clear gloss dimensional paint
  • card base (5x5")
Directions:
1. Stamp the bare tree with black ink onto white cardstock.

2. Use permanent markers to draw a numerous light bulbs in different colors to cover the tree.  (TIP: For a more realistic look, make sure to vary the angle of each light bulb.)

3. Next, use watercolor paint to add a subtle glow around each bulb.

4. To create dimension for each light bulb, apply clear gloss dimensional paint just over the bulb (TIP: only apply it over the bulb made with permanent marker). This will give each bulb a raised appearance with a glass like finish.  Set aside to dry.

5. Matte the bulb covered tree with black cardstock. Use black ink to stamp the sentiment onto a strip of vellum and then lay the strip over the lower part of the tree trunk.  Gently wrap the overhanging strips of vellum around the edge of the stamped tree and adhere them to the back side. Adhere the finished tree to the center of a red glitter 5x5" card base.

Look Who's Coming!!!

Hi There,
I hope you are all warm and snuggled up to view my very wintery card.  Grab some cocoa, transparency, and permanent ink to make this quick card with Santa flying by.  Just make sure to leave an extra 2" under the Santa image so you can attach the transparency to the top of the card so the image appears to float above.  Don't forget to ad the finishing touch by attaching a red gem for Rudolph's nose.  Some quick shading with colored pencils gives the moon his glowing personality. Hey, look who's coming!

By simply tearing the edge of white paper one can create realistic snow drifts. Mr. Snowman has spotted Santa flying in the night sky. To give him a quirky inquisitive look, separate his head from his body and then reattach it with dimensional foam tape looking upward. The snowflake background was patterned paper with a quick squirt of glimmer spray. Don't forget to share your Christmas creations with us on the Facebook Fan Page.

Christmas Card Using a Non-Christmas Stamp

Hi Friends,
Here is a fun idea for a quick Christmas card.  Try looking at your non-holiday stamp supplies in a new light.  These little trees are actually the body of a little lady image.  So get thinking "outside the box."  I hope this card inspires you to stretch your supplies and your creativity.  Happy Holidays!

Directions:
  1. Stamp both Phoebe lady stamps onto white card stock with black ink.
  2. Color the body of one which will become a tree.  Next, fussy cut all 3 trees.
  3. Punch 3 stars with a paper punch from white card stock. Use a black marker to outline 1 star.
  4. Add a bit of black card stock to form a tree trunk and adhere the middle tree with foam tape to the center of the card.
  5. Add a bit of green card stock to form tree trunks, assemble the white trees, and attach to each side.
  6. Stamp a checkerboard border with black ink and attach along the bottom edge of the card.
  7. Finally, use black ink to stamp clusters of stars around the Christmas trees.
