PMS

Hello, hello! Samantha here with a quick and easy project for you. One of the things I love to make are snarky cards and that is why this PMS stamp was right up my alley.

Let's get started. For this card you will need:

Using your sticky embossing ink pad stamp the Dandelion Bursts stamp onto your white cardstock and heat set with gold embossing powder. Mask along the border using your low tack tape.

Using your blue inks do some basic ink blending on your panel.

Remove the low tack tape. Trim your cardstock so that a .25" border will exist all along the stamping. Finished size will be 3.75" x 5.25". Adhere to your card base.

Using a shade of blue ink stamp the PMS stamp onto white cardstock. Cut into a sentiment strip and glue to the bottom of your card.

Pretty easy, right? I absolutely love this card and I hope it will inspire you. Make sure you head on over to the shop to check out all the great snarky stamps that Blank Page Muse has to offer. How many can you find?

Until next time,
Samantha

Little Cards, Big Snark

Hello, hello! Samantha here with a really fun idea to share with you. I often need quick gifts and my solution is to make mini card gift sets.
They're perfect for the recipient to keep on their desk or even in their car when they want to give someone a quick note but don't have time to order a handmade card.
The thing that makes these cards even more special is that they're snarky! You don't need to use snarky stamps but I think they are so unexpected and awesome.

Use code BPMDtSamantha 2019 to save 15% off of your next Blank Page Muse order!

For this project you will need:

To begin stamp the Whimsical Daisie stamp all over the 5.5" piece of cardstock with sticky embossing ink. Heat emboss using gold embossing powder.

Next apply your pink ink to the panel

followed by the pinkish purple shade,

and finally with the blue violet shade.

Cut the panel into fourths. Each square should measure 2.75"x2.75".

Apply to the card bases.

Stamp your sentiments into white cardstock with black ink. Cut into sentiment strips and adhere to the card fronts. Add sequins if you'd like.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my tutorial. I hope you have a great day.

Until next time,
Samantha

Stand for Something Art Journal Page

Hello, hello! Samantha here to share my newest project with you all.
When I was growing up I was fascinated by birds. I loved being able to identify them and was proud to share my knowledge with friends and family.
Those memories were the inspiration behind this art journal page.
Use code BPMDtSamantha2019 to save 15% off of your next Blank Page Muse order.

For this art journal page you will need the following:

  • A mixed media art journal
  • Watercolors or distress ink pads
  • Versamark Watermark ink pad
  • Clear embossing powder
  • Black pigment ink pad
  • White embossing powder
  • Green cardstock die cut shape
  • Gems
  • Dimensional foam adhesive
  • Orange marker
  • Glossy Accents
  • The bird, large feather, medium feather, and "stand for something" stamps from the  Flower & Bird Sketches Art Rubber Stamp Sheet set.
First stamp the feathers all over your art journal page with Versamark Watermark ink. Heat emboss using white embossing powder.

Stamp the bird onto white cardstock. Color the beak and legs with your orange marker and fussy cut it out.
I chose to leave the rest of the bird uncolored because it's such a beautiful, detailed stamp and I didn't want to risk hiding that. Add Glossy Accents to the eye. Optional but it's something I feel adds a bit of a finishing touch is to take a black marker and run it along the edges of the image you've cut out.

Set it aside to let the Glossy Accents dry.

Press one color of your ink pads or watercolors onto the sandwich bag. Spritz with water.

Next, slip your hand into the bag and "smoosh" it onto your page.

You'll have something like this. Repeat using your other colors until you achieve your desired look.

Stamp the "stand for something" sentiment onto your die cut with black pigment ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

When your journal page is fully dry attach the die cut to the center of it. Place dimensional foam adhesive on the back of the bird and secure at the top of the die cut.
Add a few gems if you'd like.

I hope that you'll try this technique with your Blank Page Muse stamps. Be sure to tag BPM on social media so that we can see what you were inspired to create!

Until next time,
Samantha

Big Dreams

Hello, hello! Samantha here, back to share another project with you.
Emboss resist ink blending is one of my favorite card making techniques. It's almost magical to see the embossed image start to become more and more defined as you layer the ink on. BPM stamps are awesome for this technique as they stamp incredibly well.

For this card you will need the following:

  • The linked circles stamp from the
Hearty Doodles stamp set by Katie Lamb
  • The Dream Big Dreams sentiment stamp
  • Green A2 sized card base
  • Black cardstock panel cut to 5 1/4" x 4"
  • White cardstock panel cut to 7" x 7"
  • Black cardstock panel cut to 2 7/8" x 2 5/8"
  • White cardstock panel cut to 2 3/4" x 2 1/2"
  • Black ink
  • Pink, blue, and yellow inks for blending
  • Sticky embossing ink pad
  • Clear embossing powder

To begin you will need to take your linked circles stamp and stamp it repeatedly all across your large white panel, using the embossing ink pad. Make sure you overlap the images frequently. This mimics the look of a full background stamp.

Cover your stamped panel in clear embossing powder and set with your heat tool.

Start by applying your yellow ink over the panel. I like using a large USPS envelope as a craft mat when I do my ink blending.

Next blend in your blue ink.

Finally use your pink ink and blend in any remaining white spaces.

Trim your panel down to 5 1/8" x 3 7/8". Don't throw your scraps away! I'm going to show you how to use them to make another card in a different blog post.

Layer your embossed panel onto the large black panel and then adhere to your card base.

Ink your sentiment stamp up in black ink. I am so impressed with the way these stamps ink up. There's never any ink beading.

Stamp onto the small white panel and then adhere that to the small black panel. Attach to the center of the card and you're done!

I hope that you will be inspired to make a similar card of your own. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my tutorial. I hope you have a wonderful day. Until next time!
~Samantha
