Dare To Be Different Art Journal

Hello all
I have a mixed media art journal page to share today and there is a tutorial for you to follow.

Blank page Muse Stamps:

Ranger Archival Inks
Acrylic Paint

Apply acrylic paints to the page and leave a little white space.

Stamp a few texture stamps around the edge.
Add the chain link texture along the edges but apply ink to a larger area so it over laps a little.
Add the water droplets texture at random along with a few swirls.

Stamp out the vines and skulls onto card stock using different coloured inks and cut them out.
Stamp them again onto the sections of the page you would like to glue them, this is so you don't have to cut out the small intricate parts. Go over the fine details with matching marker pens to highlight the detailed parts.
Cut out the skull and glue them onto the stems, You can add any small image to these so you could use flowers if you don't like the skulls.
Finish with a quote

Whimsical Love Art Journal Page

Hello!

Stephanie here again to share a Whimsical Love Art Journal page. I have a small journal I use alot to clean up left over paint/inks from my projects (I hate wasting supplies!) so I thought it would be fun to make the fun page using some awesome BPM stamps!

BPM Supplies:
Hearty Doodles Stamp Set
Wildflower Yikes! Stamp Set

Other Supplies:
Colored inks
Black paint pen
Small art journal
 Foam dots
Hot Press Watercolor paper

Directions:

1. Place a few droplets of ink on the page and spritz with water,  then  quickly close the book. Reopen and let dry. You can see some of the various colors underneath this from where I used it to clean up from another project.

2.Using the stamp from the Wildflower, Yikes! and randomly stamp onto the page.

3. Stamp a few random hearts from the Hearty Doodles set on the background.

4. Spritz a small piece of watercolor paper with water and finger paint on the paper with ink! I always enjoyed finger painting when I was younger. It's fun to get messy! Next, stamp some hearts onto the paper using a different complimentary color.

5. Add some adhesive dots to the back of each and double up on the dots on one part of the heart to add more dimension to the page. It will look like its floating above the larger heart.

6. To complete the project I wrote a Dr. Seuss quote and another quote (found on Pinterest) with black paint pen. See the random heart on the left page? That is a happy accident (channeling my inner Bob Ross) I messed up when writing out the quote. So instead of trashing my page I just covered it up! ;)

Hope you enjoyed this fun whimsical page! I know I did :)

Wildflower Love

Hello.  Gail here today and I am so excited to be sharing with you my first project as a member of the Blank Page Muse Inspiration Team!
This month the team are exploring the theme of Valentines and using dimension.
I decided to go for a modern vibe using one of the stamps from the fun Wildflower, Yikes! set.

Blank Page Muse stampused:

 Other Supplies:
  • Black card
  • White and red embossing powder
  • Versamark ink
  • Acrylic block
  • scissors

Start by stamping the stamp from Wildflower, Yikes with Versamark ink on white card and heat emboss with red embossing powder.

Then I fussy cut the image.  This is not a fussy cut accident!  This is Designing in progress!!

Stamp the Background Grunge set on a black card base and  heat emboss with white embossing powder.

I stuck the large plant part so it came down from the top left corner and then I used a piece of wire to hang the heart so it dingle dangles.  Love a bit of movement on a card!

Thanks for dropping by.  Hope you feel inspired to stamp something pretty today.  Hugz

We are all Mad Here- Wish You Were Here

Greetings! Chris here and today I am excited to share my Cheek-y take on this month's Blank Page Muse Challenge.  This month we were challenged to create a travel postcard!  Well, I was "in a silly mood" when I created this and have been dying to play with this stamp set. So thus, my "We Are All Mad Here - Wish you were here!"  ~postcard was born!

Blank Page Muse Supplies Needed

Other Supplies

Cut card stock to fit postcard. (I did this to hide any "marker bleed" that may occur when coloring the image!

Stamp Wildflower, Yikes! by Monique van Dijk Rubber Art Stamp Set  to create a scene on postcard.

Once you are finished stamping, color your image as desired. Attach to postcard.

For back, add letter stickers randomly to create greeting!

Yikes Tentacle Plant Mixed Media Tag

Hi all

Here is an easy mixed media tag made using Monique's  Wildflower Yikes Stamps.

Product list
Large tag die cutter
white card
Black archival ink
Tyveck Material
Metallic paints

Start off with a large blank tag and using a blending tool, Apply light orange ink across the top and bottom of the tag. Next use purple ink and apply it across the middle and blend a little into the orange.

Stamp the boarder stamp around the edges of the tag and then stamp the wildflowers into the corners of the tag. You can layer up the tentacles to  create larger flowers.

Stamp out Yikes into the center of the tag.

Cut out cogs from Tyveck material and paint with metallic paints.
Tyveck can be bought as sheets or you can buy disposable overalls and cut that up.
Create a flower by placing a metal brand though the center of the cogs and melt with a heat tool.
