Two Romantic Hearts xxx

 Hi BPM Fans!

Here we are approaching the end of another month! I hope you have been enjoying our month of "Romance" and have felt inspired by the DT creations!

Today I am sharing an idea for a romantic card - perfect for lots of occasions depending on what sentiment you use! Always great to have an idea for any occasion cards using the same stamp!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Vintage Style Dancing Couple
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Heart from Scribble Hearts & Elements Set designed by Pam Bray
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Two Hearts One Love Phrase
Blank Page Muse Stencil: Hearts and Broken Hearts designed by Stephanie Eaton
Base Card
Card front covered with ink stained paper towel OR Patterned Paper
White Paint
Stamp Pad & Scrap Card
Glue or double sided tape, spatula and scissors
Embellishments

Instructions:
Cover your card front with paper towel. I use the paper towel I have blotted excess ink sprays with. Alternatively use patterned paper or gelli prints cut to slightly smaller than your base card front. Use your stencil, white paint and a spatula to apply the stencil design randomly over the card front. Allow to dry.

Stamp your BPM stamps onto the scrap card using your choice of ink colour and your choice of card stock colour. I have chosen kraft card and a red ink pad to co-ordinate with my paper towel background. Have fun with different coloured inks for your main images no need to stick to just black! Fussy cut your stamped images.

Adhere the hearts, vintage couple and wording along with any embellishments to the card front.

This card works well with any romantic wording/phrase stamps. Perfect for a wedding or engagement card or for your valentine/special person!

Happy stamping and creating and thank you for joining me again today!

Sharon

Quick and Easy Love Card - Stamping on Shiny Card Stock

Greetings !  I am here today sharing this quick and easy card I created using Blank Page Muse's Love Faith & Family Vintage Art Rubber Stamp Set.   I admit I was on a vintage kick when I created this card. I also admit to being a little inspired by Willy Wonka and those MAGIC Golden Tickets!

This card was a lot about what happens if I try this?   I had scraps of gold shiny card stock and white shimmer ink on my desk (because I never clean up!!!! but rather move the piles around until I am all done!  It pretty rare that my card require so little "steps" to finish!  But the impact of stamping on the gold shiny card stock was just "WOW!"

Supplies needed to recreate this card include:

Blank Page Muse's Love Faith & Family Vintage Art Rubber Stamp Set.

Shiny Gold Card stock

Tsukineko Brilliance Pigment Inkpad, Matte Moonlight White

patterned paper, paper doily, flowers Card base

Stamp LOVE from the Blank Page Muse's Love Faith & Family Vintage Art Rubber Stamp Set using

Brilliance White ink. This ink dries fast, even on shiny card stock, but I did speed it up a bit with my heat gun. I just love how cool this looks!

Add stamped image onto doily and add to patterned paper on card base. card.
Add flowers to finish your card.

A Lovable Cat Card

Hello, this is Ana coming to you once more with a card that was created to send Valentine's Day good wishes to a far away friend. They recently moved to Georgia, and due to the holidays, we haven't been able to talk much. I thought this would be a perfect card for them. This card is also great for someone whom you haven't spoken to in a while. Using this loveable cat stamp from Mama Kat with her Kittens Rubber Stamp by Rick St Dennis and a fun pun, makes a perfect Valentine's Day card.

Supply list:

Instructions:

Start by cutting a piece of watercolor paper to fit the size of your card base. Make sure it is about 1/2" smaller all around from your card size so that you can mount on two other layers and they will all can be seen. In other words cut:
  • First card base (red): size of your card,
  • Second card base (white): 1/4" smaller than your card,
  • Third card base (watercolor paper): 1/2" smaller than your card.

Adhere the two first layers (red and white) on to your card base. The card is ready to be worked on.
Next, Stamp the Mama Kat on to the watercolor paper and color image.
Watercolor markers were used in this image.

After you have colored your image, mask it with masking fluid so that you can work on the background.

Tip: If you don't have masking fluid, you can stamp the image on a separate piece of paper and fussy cut it out to then glue on to your background.
For the background use whatever media you have on hand. Watercolor markers were used for this background.
Once you have applied the watercolor, with a wet brush go over streaks of color to disperse the ink on your paper and give it the blotchy look.
With an eraser, remove the masking fluid.
Now that you have the main image for your card, go ahead and mount it on top of your white card base.
By adding a strip of patterned paper to the left hand side of the card, a different element is added to decorate the card.
Use a banner or tag to add your sentiment. You can print it out to then cut it out. Using puns always adds a fun element to cards.

The little kitten in the stamp makes a perfect paw to hold a string. Use your crafters knife to make a small slit above and under the kittens paw. Insert the string and glue the heart balloon to the end of it.

Finish the card by adding sequin in different spots of the card just to give it some additional interest.

Now that your card is finished... go ahead and send it to someone you love to share a wonderful smile.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you create and be happy - Ana

Watercolor Powder Heat Embossed Shaker Card

 Hi everyone, Teri here!
I started with my favorite watercolor smooshing technique.
I used Nuvo Shimmer Powder Watercolors to achieve the layered look on the background.  The Wild Berries Background Coloring Stamp from Blank Page Muse has quickly become one of my favorites!

I love the way the pink background highlights the shaker pieces!

I started by heat embossing the background on watercolor paper. The Novo Shimmer Watercolor Powder was so easy to use and achieved this wonderful layered colorful background.

I tend to do multiples when I am creating and this was no exception. I made these two backgrounds. The left one is used on this card and don't be surprised to see the other background later this month!

After the watercolor panel was dry, I Die cut a large heart in the center of the panel  and a piece of pink fun foam to create the shaker border.  The front panel was cut to allow a border so attaching it to the base would be easier.

The sentiment Live, Create and Inspire was silver heat embossed on embossable acetate.
The next step was attaching the fun foam to the base and adding all the sparkle! Once that was done, I added the top panel over the opening.

I Only Have Eyes for You!

Hello crafty friends! Kelly on the blog today with Blank Page Muse and their awesome red rubber stamps! They have some of the edgiest designs on the market, check them out!

For this project, I created a couple of cards using the Dead Sea Toons characters and stencils. I love these kids and their big eyes! I used the following stamps in my designs -

To create these cards, lay the eyes stencil over your card base then using your choice of color, make a background of "eyes". You can also use a black or white pen to make more marks through the stencil on the background or over the eyes.

Then, stamp the boy and girl images onto white cardstock and color them with markers then using foam tape attach them to the background. I used a label maker for the words then outlined them with a sharpie marker.

Using the heart stamp from the Hearty Doodles set, I stamped hearts around the cards and on the envelopes.
