        * Use stencil and a blending brush and make a background.

        * Edge with drown distress ink.

       * Stamp and color the Calla Words , then cut out.

      * Add a Santa hat and a sticker saying with some music notes paper.

Halloween Banner

Hello! Welcome back to the BPM blog! Do you decorate your house for Halloween? Today's project is something you can create and add to your Halloween decor.

I used the tag from the Blank Page Muse Creepy Cute Halloween Digital Papers. A lot of possibilities for this set. Don't think that you are limited to using this set for Halloween only. There are some printables that can be used all year round. 

The tags sheets include 6-7 tags in a sheet. Since I am using a particular tag, I cropped this tag to remove the rest of the tag. I re-sized the tag to fit 8 tags in an 8 1/2" x 11" light weight white cardstock. This is one of the perks of using a digital image. You can change it's size depending on your crafty need.

I adhered a black cardstock on the back of the tags to give it more stability since I used a light weight paper to print the tag on. I die cut the tags with a tag die. I added some stitched die cuts letters for the greeting.

To embellish the tag, I added a looped metallic gold embroidery floss and Halloween sequins. I clipped the tags to a twine using clothespins. 

Feel free to customize this project by using another printable tag or using a different greeting or create a banner for a different occasion. There are plenty of designs to chose from in this set.

Christmas Banner

Hello! So glad you stopped by the Blank Page Muse Blog today to see the Christmas Banner by Kelly. This fun and festive banner can be used for the entire holiday season and beyond!!

What do you do with all those leftover colored images? Make a banner for the holiday season!!

The banner is made with several stamps from the Country Vintage Christmas stamp set by Pam Bray, watercolor pencils, some string. Other tools you will need include a hole punch, brush, Stickles, and some water.

To start this project, you will need to stamp 3 presents, 2 stockings and 2 snowmen globes from the Country Vintage Christmas stamp set. You will then color them with your choice of medium, I used watercolors. Let them dry and add Stickles to all of the pieces, set aside.

Next, cut out all of the pieces, when you are cutting out the snowglobes, just continue around the globe for a round shape.

Now you will need to decide where to punch two 1/8" holes in each piece for the string to hold them. Line up the pieces in the order that you want them to be on your banner.

Using red and white bakers twine, thread it through each hole from the front so that the string is across the back of the stamped image. The holes are small so you do not need to tie the images in place.

Finished piece is about 30 inches long and can be hung on a small tree, across a fireplace mantle, or anywhere you would like to hang your finished banner!!

Remembering Edith

 Hi, guys! Samantha here, and I'm so happy to be sharing my dragonfly card with you today. The inspiration team was challenged to come up with projects for the theme "things with wings" this month.
        Dragonflies hold a personal significance for me. My best friend's late mother, Edith, let me borrow her beautiful, bejeweled dragonfly pin when I was very young. Every time I see a dragonfly I'm reminded of her. 

           
     Let's get started! You will need the following materials to make this card:

• Dragonfly Top View stamp by Pam Bray Designs
• The determined woman sentiment stamp from the  Up, up, and away steampunk stamp set
• White A2 sized card base
• Purple cardstock panel cut to 5.5"x 4"
• Green cardstock panel cut to  4 3/8" x 3 1/8"
• White cardstock panel cut to 3" x 4.25"
• White cardstock sentiment strip cut to 3" x 7/8"
• Two small squares for the faux banner tails cut to 1" x "7/8 
• Purple ink
• Black ink
• Repositionable adhesive
• Small sequins

   

     Begin by tacking the white panel onto the purple panel with repositionable adhesive.

     Ink up your dragonfly stamp with purple ink.

   
     Look at how nicely this stamp inks up! Nothing stamps the way rubber does.

     Stamp the dragonfly three times, going off of the panels slightly each time.

 
     Gently pull the panels apart.

   
     Adhere the white panel to the green panel. Layer onto your purple cardstock and then add entire panel to your card base.

   
     Using black ink stamp the determined woman sentiment onto the strip of cardstock.

     Cut notches into the small squares to create the tails of your faux banner.

     Using the sentiment strip as a guide, determine where the banner tails should go and adhere to the card front.

     After attaching the sentiment over the banner tails with foam tape, add small sequins to the card front. I used five. I think that odd numbers are very pleasing to the eye.
          That's it! A beautiful dragonfly card that can be used for many different occasions. This one will be going to my best friend as a 'just because' card.
