ATC COINS

Hi everyone, Monique here on the blog with some Artist Trading Coins to show.  ATC coins just like ATC cards are small works of art that are traded and collected. The size of a coin is 2,5 inch, other than the size there are no rules. Usually they are made in sets with a theme but that is no rule either, so if you want to make just 1 that is fine too.

I made a set in a theme that reminds me of summer holidays. I hope you like them.

Supply list:

Blank Page Muse stamp sets used:

Wild Life Zebra Lion Giraffe Elephant collage stamp SC 0017

Dandelion Wishes With Butterflies SC0085 by Terri Sproul

Heart of Nature butterflies, bees BPMDG Nature by Donna Gray

Distress inks in : Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Broken China, Picked Raspberry

Stamp ink in black, Turquoise and orange

Punch 2,5" circle

Word/ text stickers (or stamps)

For detailed instructions see video:

Here some close ups of the coins

Woodland ATCoins

Hello crafty friends, Kelly on the blog today with Blank Page Muse

I used several of the Woodlands stamp set by Donna Gray to create a set of ATC Coins.

Supplies -

Gelli prints
Markers
Watercolors
Washi Tape
2 1/2" circle punch

These ATCoins were punched from gelli printed papers and the support is a cereal box. I glued this sandwich together with the ATC Coin Artist ID stamp, then stamped the Woodlands critters onto white cardstock and colored them with markers. I use watercolors and washi tape to enhance the critters. Fussy cut out all of the critters and then glued them down to the coin front. I now have coins ready for trading!

Anything But a Card! So how about ATCs and ATCoins???

Hello Hello!

Welcome back crafty stampers! So happy you are here today!

This month our challenge theme is Anything But a Card! I adore this theme, it's just so f u n!!

It's Kim today and I wanted to share some ATCs and ATCoins I made. I made them for a swap but sadly my partner never got them :( I took a few photos because, I'm not afraid to say it, I really liked how they came out. And I really wanted to share them! So, I hope you like them. I don't have process photos but they are super easy and fast and fun to make with whatever stamps, papers, pens, inks, basically whatever you might have on your desk!

Here's the group photo! Such a fun family o'cards!

Time for solos and closeups!
This dragonfly ATC uses some scraps from my backgrounds and scraps box.
Stamps used:
Everything is stamped, then colored with Distress Inks
The border frame (segment) is a dimensional stamp I bought at Dollar Tree.

ATCoin

Embossing Powders

The girl stamp is a long tall thin stamp for maybe a book mark, but I just used a portion of it.
I'm not a great colorer, I know that's not a word? But I like to emboss the stamp then the water color like effect kinda fills in an looks really cool!
Edge the border of the coin/card with some distress ink or any ink to "hold" in the design!
The background is also embossed in purple powder that has some shimmer.

ATC Sunflower

I love sunflowers! This Sunflower Postoid stamp like the Photobooth ones are perfect for planners and ATCs and ATCoins.

Shiny embossing powder

Edge the small stamp and card with the shiny powder to make it all pop!
Stamp the text background with a portion of the stamp then reink and rotate to get the segments. Color the blocks with a waterpen and Distress Inks

Dragonfly ATCoin

This gorgeous dragonfly stamp is designed by Pam Bray Designs.
It's abig stamp and I only needed a portion to fill the coin. I embossed the stamp and used Distress Inks to color it in.
The background is from my scrap box and honestly I have no clue how I made it! But love it anyways! Edge the coin in shiny EP to hold the design together.

Remember to Play!

Do remember to play and come back to link your play with our stamper's challenge!
Have an amazing day!

Hi Again!!
Can you believe how time is flying??? March already!!!
I hope you have been enjoying the DT creations so far this month - always so inspirational and always so many ideas for using your fabulous Blank Page Muse Stamps!!!

I've followed our "Under the Sea" theme for my step by step today - who can resist mermaids and sea themed inspiration???

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Fantasy Mermaid 1 designed by Rick St Dennis
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Anchor
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Ship's Wheel Helm

Scrap card for Coin Backing
Gelli Prints in "sea/ocean" colour tones
ATCoin die cut 2.5inches & cutting tool or make a template to cut your own
Kraft paper
Black Archival ink
Embellishments: fishing net, brass fishing "barrels"
General supplies: glue, glue stick, scissors
Instructions:
We will start by making our ATCoin "bases".
Tear strips from your gelli prints and adhere to the backing piece of card using a glue stick. Make sure to overlap so the base doesn't show through - we want to cover the entire area with the coloured strips!

Once the glue has dried use the ATCoin die and your cutting machine to cut 3 coins from the decorated card.

Next stamp your "sea/ocean" themed stamps onto kraft paper or card. Fussy cut the stamped images.
There are soooooo many sea themed stamps on the store that you have and endless range to create with!

Gather your embellishments ie. pieces of fishing net and fishing line attachments.
Have fun at the fishing supplies store - they have some fantastic embellishments for use on your creations!!!

Adhere the kraft stamped images on the ATCoin bases - overhang some of the images as shown below and trim them to the shape of the coin. Then adhere the net and brass barrels with glue.

Finished coins ready to trade or add to your own collection! This idea works with any theme and stamping on the kraft paper is great for those of you who are not "into" colouring images and like something quick and effective!

Don't forget if you are "trading" your ATCoins to grab one of the 3 backing stamps
from  Blank Page Muse to finish off your coins!!

Thanks yet again for joining me today!!
Have fun stamping!!

A great way to create some extras for your stash when you need to make something in a hurry!
Start by cutting some 2.½ " circles from some Gelli plate printed papers..

Grab some Blank Page Muse Stamps, Embossing Ink Pad, Embossing Ink Bottle and some Black and White fine embossing Powder.
