This time of year, finds everyone with long TO DO lists and not enough time to do it all. Need a gift bag in a pinch? Are you too busy to run to the store? Use your Blank Page Muse stamps to make beautiful tags for your gift bags! Here is a brown bag dressed up with the Silhouette Style Children Ice Skating Winter Art Rubber Stamp

Blank Page Muse Stamps Used
Silhouette Style Children Ice Skating Winter Art Rubber Stamp
Season's Greetings Word Phrase Rubber Stamp SC39-11

Other supplies:
Watercolor Paper
Mica Watercolor Paints
Water brush

Black Versafine Ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Heat tool
Aall & Create tag die
Ribbon
Crystal Gems
Brown paper bag

To make the tag, stamp the skating image and "Season's Greetings" with Black Versafine Ink and Clear Embossing Powder on watercolor paper, use a Heat tool set the powder.

With a water brush paint the ice (light blue) and the background (white). The mica paints will have a beautiful shine when the tag is moved. Let the paints dry.  I don't use a heat to dry the watercolors as it may affect the embossed ink image.

Die cut the watercolored stamped image and the teal paper tag. Adhere the image on the tag. Cut a mat from the teal paper for "Season's Greetings".  Mount the sentiment with dimensional foam.

Add ribbons and embellish with gems!!!  Now you are ready to dress up any bag, even a brown bag!!!  Don' wait until the last minute, have a few on hand JUST IN CASE!

Bright Vintage Tags!

 Hi again!

My second post for this month - can you believe we're nearly half way through the year - time flies!

Today I was inspired by some tags I saw on Instagram by @paperiliitin
I loved the bright coloured backgrounds along with the little vintage people which I have so I decided to create some myself using bits & pieces sitting around on my desk!

Backgrounds are painted and stamped and ephemera and main image layered and adhered to tag front.

Thinking of You & Walking Beside You!

 Hi Stamping Fans!

I've been creating a lot of tags lately so I have some more to share today using stencils, stamps and collage images!

I started by covering my tags with old book pages and adding a thin layer of gesso, then I used the honey bee stencil with texture paste and ink sprays.

I finished with Tim Holtz vintage collage elements and embellies from my stash. plus phrase stamps available at the BPM & IBFS Stores!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words!

Hi Crafting Fans!

Today I'm sharing some altered tags using some fab stamps available at the "I Brake For Stamps" site.

Phrase "A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words"

These tags were easy to make - I used some thick paper towel that I had used as a mat when I had been painting in my journal so it made a perfect background for these tags!

I stamped the images onto white cardstock and adhered to the tags along with some muslin and cotton scraps.

To finish off I added a little flower "gem" as Audrey's earring for some added sparkle and tied some twine to the tops.

Hope you feel inspired to do some creating - even making something quick makes you feel good!

Double, Double Toil and Trouble!

Double, double, toil and trouble
Fire burn and cauldron bubble

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are embracing this spooky month of October and the upcoming Halloween festivities if you celebrate them where you live!

And I hope you have been getting a lot of inspiration from the blog this month with all the DT sharing their fabulously spooky creepy creations!

Make sure you pop over to the BPM Store - type "Halloween" into the search bar and start shopping from the huge range of stamps!!!!!!

So today I have done my usual and stamped "non" themed stamps and made them "themed"!

Hope you enjoy these little "witchy" tags using stamps designed by Stephanie Eaton!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Overcast Stitch You Are Stronger Character designed by Stephanie Eaton
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Zig Zag Stitches I need a Break Character designed by Stephanie Eaton
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Oh Son of a Witch Wording
Tags and Black Gesso
Collage Witches Hats & Masks (Art Tea Life Collage Sheet used for these tags)
White Card, Black Ink Pad and Coloured Ink Pad
Stencil, Texture Paste and Shimmer Ink Spray
Embellishments & Fibres
General supplies: glue, scissors, colouring medium, heat gun

Instructions:
Start by stamping your chosen characters onto white card and colouring with your choice of medium. Alternatively as you know I love stamping on kraft card as an option to colouring so you can do this too if you are not a colourer" makes it quick and easy and still looks great!! Fussy cut your stamped characters.

Stamp sentiment onto white card cut out and use coloured ink pad to edge.

Fussy cut your collage witch's hats and masks and adhere to your fussy cut characters. I just love how this changes the whole look of the character!

Next step is to "decorate" your tag background. Cover the whole tag with a thick layer of Black Gesso and allow to dry. Don't worry about any streak marks or thick lines - that adds to the texture of the background.

Once the gesso is dry use your stencil and texture paste to the tag and allow to dry. Then spray with your shimmery ink spray and allow to dry. If you want to speed up the process use a heat gun!

Arrange and adhere your stamped images and any embellishments to the tag and add some decorative fibres to the top of the tag and you have finished! I used some "cobweb" from a halloween pack, corner charm and some fibres.

Thanks for joining me yet again!

Happy Halloween!

Sharon

Gingko Leaf Wish Tag

Full Disclosure.  I am a Biology major!  Every Biology major knows about the Ginkgo tree!  Used in the East for its medicinal qualities, the Ginkgo is remarkable because there is only 1 species in the entire world!  Ginkgo Bilbao. Comparably the maple tree has over 100 different species!
The survival of the ginkgo is all the more remarkable because it nearly became extinct, disappearing from the fossil record in both Europe and North America.  It was preserved by Buddhist monks in their gardens in northern China.
The tree was rediscovered by western scientists in the 19th century, and now the "living fossil" is planted all over the world.

Valued for its graceful form and unusual, fan-shaped leaves, the ginkgo is also disease- and pollution-resistant, making it an excellent tree for urban environments. Ginkgo's can live to be more than 1,000 years old. The tree is probably best known for its curious habit of dropping its leaves all at once!

Tradition dictates that if you catch a ginkgo leaf as it floats to earth, you'll have good luck!  The leaves are difficult to catch because the leaves are fan shaped, their falling pattern is very erratic. As soon as you think you have it in your hand, it darts out of reach.

SO... obviously I was super excited to see a ginkgo leaf stamp in the Blank Page Muse Store.  and since this month's challenge is anything but a card, I decided to create a tag!

Supplies needed
Clear Embossing Powder
Embossing Ink
Adhesive
Archival Ink
Water Color Ink Sprays
Card stock
Jute
Sentiment Stickers

Start by stamping BPM Ginkgo Leaf Maidenhair Art Stamp  with embossing ink and add clear embossing powder and heat emboss.

Stamp BPM Shorthand Writing Note Segment Background texture Art Rubber Stamp with archival ink repeatedly over tag. It will wipe off the of the embossed leaves but a faint residual ink may be visible.

Stamp cross from BPM Art Journaling #2 Rubber Stamp Set by Terri Sproul onto tag.

Spray tag with inks as desired.

Let dry.  Spritz with water to create water spots.

Adhere tag to card stock mat. Add desired sentiment.

Add Jute bow to finish.

I hope this tag inspires you to play along with this month's challenge!  Be sure to follow us at:
