Beautiful Birdhouses

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today using an assortment of stamps from Blank Page Muse to create 2 cards.


Blank Page Muse Rubber Stamps: Large Birdhouses, Large Script Background,
Flower & Bird Sketches
Blank Page Muse Clear Stamps: Special Day Clear Stamps
Blank Page Muse Paper Pack: Tattered & Worn 6x6 pack



Stamp and emboss the birdhouses using navy ink and embossing powder.
Using blank ink stamp the script stamp lightly on one of the images.
Stamp it heavier on the 2nd image.


I image will be used as a rectangle and the other will be die cut into a large oval.


Mat the rectangular image on black cardstock.
Add to a floral card.
Finish with a sweet sentiment which was popped onto the card.


Cut a piece of pattern to fit the card front and adhere the birdhouse,
Add a strip of the same paper along the inside of the card.
Stamp Hello Friend on the card.

Waterfall card

  Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today using some amazing stamps and from Blank Page Muse.


Blank Page Muse Stamps: Every Single Day, Hello Sentiment, A Friend is a Treasure, 
Dare to Be Different, Old Friends
Blank Page Muse die cuts:  Masquerade Ephemera Paper Embellishments



Cut cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2" to create the card.
Cut pattern paper to fit the front and base of the card.


Score 6 lines 1/4" apart and adhere Scor-tape along the lines.
Starting from the bottom, remove the Scor-Tape backing and adhere one of the squares.
Continue removing the backing and adhering the squares until all 6 are in place.


To create the waterfall effect, cut cardstock 2 1/4" x 11".
Cut 6 pieces of pattern paper 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".
Cut 6 pieces of cardstock 2 1/4" x 2 1/4.
Corner round the bottom edges and adhere together.



Adhere the waterfall to the card base, being sure to line the tap with the bottom edge.
Decorate the squares as desired with stamps and die cuts (preferably before adhering everything together)!!!
If you pull on the tab, the waterfall panels move.


To create the floral closure, cut 2 strips of cardstock 4" x 1".
Add pattern paper, then score 1/2" from each edge.
Slip behind the waterfall elements and fold down.
Die cut circles and adhere a flower with a brad.
Place a velcro dot behind the circle and align to the strips



To decorate the front cover, add a strip of cardstock and a die cut circle.
Adhere an assortment of Masquerade Ephemera elements to the front.

 Where Flowers Speak, Friendship Grows

Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post where I will be showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products!

This handmade card evokes a gentle sense of connection and warmth through its delicate design and thoughtful message. The trio of purple flowers symbolizes admiration, grace, and lasting friendship—qualities often associated with the color purple in floral language. The soft lavender tones and lace-edged borders suggest care and intentionality, while the “Hello Friend” sentiment offers a simple yet heartfelt gesture of reaching out. Altogether, the image communicates a quiet beauty and sincerity, perfectly representing how small, handmade details can carry meaningful emotion.



To create this project, you will need the following:

  • Large Violet Stem stamp from Blank Page Muse
  • Water-based ink pens (For this project, I used Altenew Artistry markers)
  • Watercolor paper (I prefer Canson)
  • Ink-blending brush
  • Blue, Water Reactive ink (I used Distress Oxide)
  • Paint Brushes
  • Pattern paper (Your taste and preferences should dictate selection)
  • White A2 Card base
  • Boarder die  (Your taste and preferences should dictate selection)
  • Liquid glue
  • Low-tack Tape
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Die cutting machine
  • Stamping platform (I use a Misiti)
  • Black embossing powder
  • Heat tool
  • Embossing ink 
  • Sentiment of choice
  • Flat-back pearls

Process

  • Using the watercolor paper and a paper trimmer, cut the paper to approximately 4.25" x 5.5".
  • Place the cardstock into your stamping platform and secure it into place.
  • Align the Large Violet Stem stamp into its final position
  • Secure the stamp to the stamping platform using some low-tack tape.
  • Close the lid and press firmly to ensure the stamp adheres to the lid.
  • Double-check that it is secure because the technique to create the card requires a lot of repeated stamping.

  • Choose a section of the stamp that feels comfortable to work with and use the Altenew Artistry marker to color only that portion of the stamp.
  • Work with light, even strokes, making sure to only get the pigment on the raised section of the stamp.
  • Make sure that there is good coverage.
  • Stamp the image onto the cardstock.
  • Use even pressure, making sure that the applied pressure is downward only to prevent potential stamp movement
  • Clean any residual ink from the stamp with a paper towel.

  • Using a damp, fine-tip brush and a light touch, pull the pigment from the edges of the stamped image towards the center of the image.
  • Be sure to keep inside the lines of the image as you work.
  • Take adequate time with this step to prevent smearing or bleeding.
  • Allow to dry completely.
  • Repeat the steps for other areas of the stamp. 
  • Save the fine detail or outlines for the final stamping.

  • Using a die of your choice, cut out the boarders and align as shown to frame your focal image.
  • Adhere into place with liquid glue
  • Allow to dry





Assembly

  • Secure the completed panel onto the stamping platform.
  • Align chosen sentiment.
  • Ink the sentiment with embossing ink and stamp the image, repeat if necessary for complete coverage
  • Remove the panel from the stamping platform and apply the black embossing powder.
  • Recover the excess powder.
  • Heat-set the powder with a heat tool.
  • Adhere the completed panel to the A2 card base with liquid glue.

Friendship Cards

 Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here with 2 friendship cards.


Supplies:

Blank Page Muse Stamps -
  A Friend is Someone...
Bubble wrap Texture

Blank Page Muse Stencil -
Pebble Path Stencil

Cardstock
Ink


Using the stencil, ink a panel of white cardstock with 2 shades of blue  inks, moving the stencil around the panel.


Stamp the sentiment on the stenciled panel with black ink.


Using an oval die cut, cut out the phrase.  Stamp the phrase a second time on white cardstock and also die cut it.  Put it aside for the 2nd card.


Create a card from navy cardstock.  Cut blue cardstock slightly smaller and randomly stamp the bubble wrap stamp in blue ink.


Assemble the card, placing the phrase on a larger scalloped die, then adding to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.


Use the remaining stenciled panel to create a second card.  Create a card from blue cardstock, then mat the stenciled panel with black cardstock.  Mat the phrase with a larger scalloped die, then add it  to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

"Friendship"


Hello everyone! I am delighted to be here with you today. I would like to share with you a journal page I created, inspired by friendship and the vintage/retro theme. I realize it's Valentine's Day but, that doesn't mean we forget about our friends. They need love too! Which is exactly what inspired me to create this page, friendship. For this page, the stamps speak for themselves.

Shimmer mist inks in orange and green
Ranger archival black ink pad
White marker
Vintage paper doll clip art
Red and green markers


This photograph shows the background before I begin my inky stamping adventure! Background details: I sprayed some yellow and green colors on the paper and distressed the edges with black ink. Love this stamp by Pam, the possibilities are limitless!

I just had to share with you this beautiful image of the stamped circles once they are applied to the sparkly background. Journaling is so much fun! 


More beautiful images of lovely stamps, this time they are by Katie! They may just seem like simple little circles; but, wait until you see what's in store for you next. 


This page is turning out to be fantastic, isn't it!? 
Wow! Wow! Just look at all that stamping gorgeousness! 


Color in the paper dolls with the markers, wipe off excess color then heat set.   


Use the white marker to add some fun detail to the stamps.


Here are some up-close photographs of the finished page. Remember sometimes it's better to just let the stamps do the talking. I hope you enjoyed the tutorial.

If you feel intimidated by stamping backgrounds, fear no more.  One stamp and an ombre ink pad are all you need.   By using an ombre ink pad with multiple colors you can create a rich background full of depth.
