Birthday Hugs

 

     Birthday Hugs

Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I want to send you the biggest birthday hug imaginable—one that's warm, full of joy, and overflowing with all the love you've shared so selflessly. May your year ahead be as beautifully layered and full of life as these petals, with every twist and turn leading to moments that make your heart sing. Let's dive in!


To create this project, you will need the following:

Stamps

 Paper

  • (1) White Cardstock  - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) White A2 card base 

Tools and Consumables

  • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape)
  • Scissors
  • Liquid glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Purple Ink
  • Black ink 
  • Ink-blending brush(s)
  • Stamping tool (I use a Misiti)
  • Colored Pencils
  • Masking sheet - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • Low-tack adhesive 
  • Sentiment of your choice (Mine came from my stash) 
Process: 
  • Secure the white cardstock to the stamping tool.
  • Align the carnation stamp in the center of the panel.
  • Use low-tack adhesive on the back of the carnation stamp and then secure it to the stamping platform with some light pressure.
  • Ink the stamp with the Black ink, and then stamp the image. Reapply ink to the stamp and restamp if required for complete even coverage.
  • Remove the stamped panel from the stamping platform and secure the masking sheet in its place.
  • Ink the stamp with the Black ink, and then stamp the image. Reapply ink to the stamp and restamp if required for complete even coverage.
  • Remove the masking sheet and trim it along the edges of the image with scissors.
  • Peel the masking sheet back and apply it over the image previously stamped on the cardstock panel.
  • Secure the masked panel to your worksurface or the sticky mat.
  • Use the Purple ink and an ink brush to ink blend a background around the image to the desired hue.
  • Once the ink has dried, slowly peel the masking sheet off at a 45-degree angle to minimize the chances of tearing the image below.
  • Remove the panel from the sticky mat and secure it to a work surface.  I prefer my glassboard because it is ultra smooth, but I have also found a clipboard to work well.
  • Use colored pencils, Pinks, Reds, and Greens, to color in the image.
  • Secure the panel into the stamping platform, align, secure, ink, and then stamp the sentiment.
  • Remove the panel from the stamping platform.
  • Secure the background panel to the black cardstock with liquid glue.
  • Adhere the completed panel to the A2 card base with liquid glue.

"OWL" always love you!

     "OWL" always love you!

Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I’m crafting with this beautifully detailed stamp and colored pencils. Let's Dive in!




To create this project, you will need the following:

Stamps

 Paper

  • (1) White Cardstock  - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) White A2 card base 

Tools and Consumables

  • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape)
  • Scissors
  • Liquid glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Blue Ink
  • Brown ink 
  • Ink-blending brush(s)
  • Stamping tool (I use a Misiti)
  • Colored Pencils
  • Masking sheet - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • Low-tack adhesive 
  • Sentiment of your choice (Mine came from my stash) 
Process: 
  • Secure the white cardstock to the stamping tool.
  • Align the owl stamp in the center of the panel.
  • Use low-tack adhesive on the back of the owl stamp and then secure it to the stamping platform with some light pressure.
  • Ink the stamp with the Brown ink, and then stamp the image. Reapply ink to the stamp and restamp if required for complete even coverage.
  • Remove the stamped panel from the stamping platform and secure the masking sheet in its place.
  • Ink the stamp with the Brown ink, and then stamp the image. Reapply ink to the stamp and restamp if required for complete even coverage.
  • Remove the masking sheet and trim it along the edges of the image with scissors.
  • Peel the masking sheet back and apply it over the image previously stamped on the cardstock panel.
  • Secure the masked panel to your worksurface or the sticky mat.
  • Use the Blue ink and an ink brush to ink blend a blue sky around the image to the desired hue. I like to go light with the sky in my cards to keep the focus front and center.
  • Once the ink has dried, slowly peel the masking sheet off at a 45-degree angle to minimize the chances of tearing the image below.
  • Remove the panel from the sticky mat and secure to a work surface.  I prefer my glassboard because it is ultra smooth, but I have also found a clipboard to work well.
  • Use colored pencils, Browns and Greens, to color in the image.
  • Secure the panel into the stamping platform, align, secure, ink, and then stamp the sentiment.
  • Remove panel form the stamping platform.
  • Secure the background panel to the black cardstock with liquid glue.
  • Adhere the completed panel to the A2 card base with liquid glue.

Love is a Burning Desire

 

      Love is a Burning Desire

Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I’m crafting a beautiful and heartfelt card for someone special.  Let's Dive in!




To create this project, you will need the following:

Stamps

 Paper

  • (1) Black Cardstock - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) White Cardstock  - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) White A2 card base 

Tools and Consumables

  • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape)
  • Scissors
  • Liquid glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Die-cut machine
  • Border die (I chose one from my stash)
  • Black Ink
  • Red ink (Shade or your choosing)
  • Ink-blending brush
  • Clear block  
Process: 
  • Secure the white cardstock to the sticky mat.
  • Secure the heart-shaped stencil over the cardstock.
  • Use the red ink and the ink-blending brush to fill in the stencil to your desired hue. I choose to make areas a little darker than others for additional interest. 
  • DO NOT remove the stencil; it will act as a mask.
  • Adhere the Dogwood stamp to the clear block with low-tack adhesive.
  • Ink the stamp with the black ink and then stamp the image onto the heart, making sure to leave enough room for the sentiment.
  • Repeat for the other side of the heart if desired.
  • Remove the stencil.
  • Adhere the Love is a Burning Desire stamp to the clear block with low-tack adhesive.
  • Ink the stamp with the black ink and then stamp the image onto the heart.
  • Use the die-cutting machine and border die to cut the heart panel to its final dimensions. I wanted just a slight reveal, so the one I used took 1/8th inch off all sides.
  • Secure the background panel to the black cardstock with liquid glue.
  • Adhere the completed panel to the A2 card base with liquid glue.

Fantasy Flourish

      Fantasy Flourish

Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I’m crafting a Birthday card using a "new to me" technique, using a stencil, ink, and glossy accents. Let's get started!


To create this project, you will need the following:

Stamps or Stencil

 Paper

  • (2) Black Cardstock - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) Light Blue Cardstock  - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) White A2 card base 

Tools and Consumables

  • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape)
  • Scissors
  • Liquid glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Die-cut machine
  • Glossy Accents
  • Blue ink (Shade or your choosing)
  • Ink-blending brush 
  • Squegee or plastic store card 
Process: 
  • Secure the light blue cardstock to the sticky mat.
  • Secure the Fantasy Flourish stencil over the cardstock.
  • Use the Blue ink and the ink-blending brush to fill in the stencil to your desired hue. I choose to make some areas a little darker than others for additional interest.
  • For the "new to me" technique!!! Do NOT remove the stencil.  Instead, use the Glossy Accents to put a thin bead along the bottom of the stencil.
  • Use the Squegee or plastic store card to pull the Glossy Accents across the stencil.
  • Repeat if necessary to ensure the stencil is filled in.  
  • The trick of the technique is time.  The resin needs time to start to set before you pull the stencil, but not too much time, or it gets too hard and you can't get the stencil off without ripping the paper.  I personally watch for it to start to show a light haze, which indicates it's drying, before peeling the stencil off at a 45-degree angle.
  • Immediately wash the stencil to remove the excess resin.  
  • Use the die-cutting machine, a sentiment of your choosing, and one of the Black cardstocks to cut out the sentiment.  
  • Cover the sentiment in a light coat of the glossy accents and allow to dry fully, and for me, this was overnight.
  • Secure the second Black cardstock to the card base with liquid glue.
  • Trim the background panel to size. I wanted just a slight reveal, so I took 1/8th inch off all sides.
  • Secure the background panel to the mat and card base with liquid glue.
  • Secure the sentiment in place with liquid glue.

Celebrate

     

Celebrate

Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I’m crafting a sparkly and fun celebration card to have ready in my stash.  It's super easy to make but packs a visual punch.  Let's get started!



To create this project, you will need the following:

Stamps or Stencil

 Paper

  • (1) Sheet of Double-Sided Adhesive - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) Black Cardstock  - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) White Cardstock  - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) White A2 card base 

Tools and Consumables

  • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape)
  • Embossing folder (I chose one from my stash) 
  • Scissors
  • Liquid glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Die-cut machine
  • Gilding Flakes (I chose metallics)
  • Flat-backed pearls or Sequence
  • Dove bar soap or equivalent
  • Ribbon 
Process: 
  • Apply a generous coating of soap to the back of the Intersection Criss Crossed stencil to act as a protective barrier.
  • Remove one side of the backing from the double-sided adhesive sheet, peeling slowly at a 45° angle to prevent folding.
  • Save the removed backing for later use.
  • Position the stencil, soap-coated side down, onto the exposed adhesive sheet and press firmly.
  • Spread gilding flakes over the stencil and exposed adhesive areas.
  • Use the saved backing like sandpaper to rub and break down the flakes until the surface is fully covered.
  • Peel the stencil away from the adhesive sheet at a 45° angle for easy removal.
  • Trim the gilding flake panel to 2.125" × 5.5".
  • Trim the black cardstock to 2.125" × 5.5".
  • Remove the backing from the gilding flake panel and adhere it to the A2 card base, peeling and sticking gradually for precise alignment.
  • Cut a length of ribbon longer than the card’s width (or height, depending on placement), then use liquid glue to attach it with the ends wrapped behind the black cardstock, covering the seam between the gilding flake panel and the black cardstock as shown in the photo.
  • Die-cut the sentiment from the white cardstock. An optional step for visual interest would be to include a shadow die cut or double-stacked sentiment for height.
  • Add the sequence or flat-backed pearls for added interest if desired.

Leap and Soar

It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I’m crafting a heartfelt tribute to those rare souls who lift us higher—a delicate bird poised on the brink of flight, its wings etched with the quiet wisdom of a muse who dared me to dream beyond the nest. As the first light of dawn kisses the horizon, that solitary silhouette unfurls against the vast, whispering sky, a fragile echo of the magic you sparked in me: not with spells or secrets, but with the steady hand of encouragement, murmuring, "Leap." You taught me to fly, turning blank pages into soaring symphonies of ink and possibility, where every tremor of doubt fuels the rush of feathers against the wind. Join me on this feather-light adventure as we explore how a simple stamp set and sentiment can capture the thrill of wings once clipped, now chasing the untamed currents of what’s possible.






To create this project, you will need the following:

Stamps

 Paper

  • (1) Watercolor paper panel - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (3) White A2 Card base - 4.25" x 5.5"
  •  (1) White A2 card base 

Watercolors

  • Watercolor pigments (brand of your choice, mine is an older Altenew set)

Inks

  • Black ink
  • Blue ink 
  • Yellow ink
  • Brown ink
  • Watermark ink 

Tools

  • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape) 
  • Scissors
  • Liquid glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Border die(s) of choice 
  • Die-cut machine
  • Stamping tool (I use a Misti)
  • Anti-static bag
  • White embossing powder 
  • Heat tool
  • Flat-backed pearls
  • Double-sided adhesive - Low tack
  • Watercolor paint brushes
  • Paper towels
  • Cup of clean water 
  • Ink Blending brush(es) or applicator(s) 
Process: 
  • Place the watercolor panel on the stamping platform and secure it with the stamping tool.
  • Attach the bird stamp to the stamping platform, centered over the panel, using double-sided tape if needed.
  • Dust the watercolor panel with an anti-static bag to prevent stray embossing powder.
  • Ink the bird stamp with watermark ink and stamp the image onto the panel with even pressure, repeating 1–2 times for complete coverage.
  • Remove the panel from the stamping platform, sprinkle white embossing powder over the stamped image, and use a heat tool to emboss, creating “wells” for pigment.
  • Secure the panel to a work surface (e.g., an old wooden clipboard) for painting.
  • Moisten watercolor pigments with a paintbrush and water to activate them.
  • Use a clean paintbrush to apply the lightest watercolor pigment to the desired areas of the embossed image, starting with light colors, and let it dry completely.
  • Using the sticky mat, secure one of the cardstock panels in place.  
  • Using the Yellow ink and light pressure, blend the paper to your desired hue—aim for a gentle sunrise glow.
  • Repeat the previous step with a second piece of White cardstock, creating matching sunny frames.
  • Using two of the border dies of differing sizes and the now Yellow cardstock, use your die-cutting machine to cut out the panels. These will form the window edges.
  • In turn, secure each Yellow panel to the sticky mat and add the Brown accents, see photo for reference. A subtle flick of brown ink along the edges mimics weathered branches, grounding your bird's flight.
  • Once completed, set aside to dry—patience here ensures crisp layers.
  • Using the last of the White cardstock, secure it to the sticky mat and then use the Blue ink to make a sky-like effect. I used the borders to figure out the placement, blending from soft to a deeper cerulean for depth.
  • Remove the panel from the sticky mat and place the panel into the stamping platform. Secure the stamp into position, ink it with black ink, and stamp, re-inking and re-stamping if necessary.
  • Remove the panel from the stamping platform and trim it to the same size as the border dies—precision here makes assembly a breeze.
  • Adhere the panels together, creating a window effect, see photo for reference. The nested borders reveal glimpses of the sky and sentiment, framing your focal point.
  • Be sure to adhere the bird in between the window panels—it's the heart of the card.
  • Adhere the composite panel to the White A2 card base with liquid glue, centering it for balanced elegance.
  • For visual interest, add some flat-back pearls in an odd number and a triangular pattern to draw the eye of the viewer. Three pearls arching like a subtle constellation add that final sparkle, echoing the stars your muse helped you reach.

Wishing you a Happy Birthday

Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I’m crafting this stunning birthday card featuring a cluster of vibrant crocuses! This project showcases the beauty of these elegant flowers, brought to life with rich purples and soft accents. The hand-stamped design, framed by a delicate wire-like border, adds a touch of whimsy and charm, making it a perfect handmade gift to celebrate any special birthday. Let’s dive into the steps to recreate this floral masterpiece!





To create this project, you will need the following:

Stamps

 Paper

  • (1) Watercolor paper panel - 4.25" x 5.5"
  • (1) White A2 Card base - 4.25" x 5.5"

Watercolors

  • Watercolor pigments (brand of your choice, mine is an older Altenew set)

Inks

  • Black ink

Tools

  • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape) 
  • Scissors
  • Liquid glue
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Lable die(s) of choice (I chose a sticthed edge die to frame the image)
  • Die-cut machine
  • Stamping tool (I use a Misti)
  • Anti-static bag
  • Gold embossing powder 
  • Heat tool
  • Flat-backed pearls
  • Double-sided adhesive - Low tack
  • Watercolor paint brushes
  • Paper towels
  • Cup of clean water  
Process: 
  • Place the watercolor panel on the stamping platform and secure it with the stamping tool.
    • Attach the Crocus stamp to the stamping platform, centered over the panel, using double-sided tape if needed.
    • Dust the watercolor panel with an anti-static bag to prevent stray embossing powder.
    • Ink the Crocus stamp with watermark ink and stamp the image onto the panel with even pressure, repeating 1–2 times for complete coverage.
    • Remove the panel from the stamping platform, sprinkle Gold embossing powder over the stamped image, and use a heat tool to emboss, creating “wells” for pigment.
    • Secure the panel to a work surface (e.g., an old wooden clipboard) for painting.
    • Moisten watercolor pigments with a paintbrush and water to activate them.
    • Use a clean paintbrush to apply the lightest watercolor pigment to the desired areas of the embossed image, starting with light colors, and let it dry completely.
    • (Optional) Place the dried panel back in the stamping platform, secure an oval border stamp, ink it with black ink, and stamp the border, repeating if needed for clarity.
    • Remove the border stamp, position a sentiment stamp, ink it with black ink, and stamp the sentiment, re-inking and re-stamping if necessary.
    • Remove the panel from the stamping platform, secure it to the work surface, and apply a background color (e.g., soft blue) with watercolor pigment, then let it dry completely.
    • Adhere the completed panel to a card base using liquid glue.

    Bloom Where You Are Planted

     

    Bloom Where You Are Planted

    Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I’m thrilled to share a step-by-step guide for creating a stunning forget-me-not greeting card using the beautiful Forget Me Not stencil from Blank Page Muse.

    To create this project, you will need the following:

    Stamps

     Paper

    • (1) White cardstock panel - 4.25" x 5.5"
    • (2) Black cardstock panel - 4.25" x 5.5"
    • (1) White A2 Card base

    Pastes

    • Metallic colored paste (use your favorite brand, though I used Lunar Paste)
    • Blue colored paste

    Inks

    • Watermark ink

    Tools

    • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape) 
    • Scissors
    • Liquid glue
    • Paper Trimmer
    • Lable die(s) of choice (I chose a sticthed edge die to frame the image)
    • Die-cut machine
    • Stamping tool (I use a Misti)
    • Anti-static bag
    • White embossing powder 
    • Heat tool
    • Applicator 
    • Favorite embossing folder (I used one called Daises and Dots from my collection) 
    Process: 
    • Using the white cardstock and the sticky mat, secure the cardstock in place. 
    •  Using the metallic paste of you choice and an applicator, apply the paste liberally to the white cardstock.  I used gently swirls and blended my edges together to get the effect shown.  Allow to dry completely ~ a couple of hours.
    • Secure the Forget me not stencil over the dried panel, and then apply the blue colored paste in a thin coat, be sure to cover everything evenly. I have found that an old credit or store card works well.
    • Carefully peel the stencil back at a 45-degree angle so as to not smear your work. 
    • Clean the paste from the stencil to prevent staining. Allow to dry completely ~ a couple of hours.
    • Using your favorite embossing folder and die machine, emboss the now dry panel.
    • Trim the panel to your prefered final dimensions, I removed 1/8th inch from all sides
    • Adhere the image panel to the black mat with liquid glue.
    • Adhere the composite to the white A2 card base with liquid glue.
    • Using the second piece of black cardstock and the stamping tool, secure the cardstock in place, and then orient the sentiment stamp with enought room to use an appropriate sized lable die, and secure the stamp in place. I used the Bloom Where You Are Planted stamp.
    • Apply anti-static powder to the intended stamping area.
    • Use the watermark ink to ink the sentiment stamp. Stamp the sentiment onto the mat with even pressure. Repeat if necessary for a clean transfer.
    • Use the white embossing powder and a heat tool to emboss the sentiment.
    • Adhere the sentiment label to the card panel with liquid glue or, optionally, for some added dimension, foam tape.

    Elegant Beach Grass Card Design featuring "From Tropical Dreams" by Pam Bray Designs

    Good day, fellow crafters. It's Tamara once again, with a new post showcasing my latest card created using  Blank Page Muse products! Today, I’m thrilled to unveil a breathtaking beach-inspired card featuring the beach grass stamp from the "From Tropical Dreams" set by Pam Bray Designs and the sentiment phrase stamp "Courage – the difference in success and failure". This design captures the essence of a serene seaside escape, blending vibrant alcohol ink hues with the delicate texture of the stamped beach grass.

    The creation process began with a stunning alcohol ink background, blending shades of blue and green in a smooth effect to mimic the ocean’s gradient. I then stamped the beach grass in matching teal and green tones, allowing the ombre backdrop to enhance the natural flow of the design. The sentiment was added with a touch of elegance, framed by a stitched panel and accented with golden embellishments, bringing the whole piece together with a harmonious coastal vibe.



    To create this project, you will need the following:

    Stamps

     Paper

    • White cardstock panel - 4.25" x 5.5"
    • Yupo paper -  4.25" x 5.5"
    • White A2 Card base

    Inks

    • Ink (I chose blues and greens, ex Distress Oxides)
    • Ink-Black (sentiment)
    • Alcohol inks  (I chose blues and greens)

    Tools

    • Ink-Blending brush(s)
    • Sticky mat (optional but very useful to hold work in place without using tape) 
    • Scissors
    • Liquid glue
    • Paper Trimmer
    • Edged die(s) of choice (I chose a sticthed edge die to frame the image)
    • Die-cut machine
    • Stamping tool (I use a Misti) 
    • Gold flat-back pearls (three different sizes for interest)
    • Masking tape 

    Process: 

    • Cut Yupo paper to size, wear gloves, and use a felt applicator to drop light green ink at one end, tilting to create an ombre base; add teal and blue inks gradually, blending with isopropyl alcohol for a smooth gradient.
    • Add ocean-like swirls with extra ink drops or air from a straw, blending as needed; let layers dry briefly between additions.
    • Allow the background to dry completely (5-10 minutes)
    • Stamp the beach grass image from the "From Tropical Dreams" set onto the white cardstock using black ink. Let it dry fully to avoid smudging.
    • Mask off the bottom third of the card with masking tape for the sentiment.
    • Secure the stamped cardstock to the sticky mat to hold it in place. 
    • Using ink blending brushes, gently apply shades of blue and green inks over the stamped grass to mimic ocean water. Start lightly at the top and blend downward for a gradient effect, ensuring the black lines show through for contrast. Build layers gradually for depth, blending out harsh edges.
    • Place the inked panel into a stamping platform, I use a Misti, then position the stamp, secure it to the door, ink, and stamp the sentiment. Reapply the ink and restamp if necessary for full coverage.
    • Using the die machine and edge die of choice, cut the stamped panel down to its final dimensions.
    • Using liquid glue, adhere the gold flat-back pearls.
    • Using liquid glue, adhere the image panel to the background panel.
    • Using liquid glue, adhere the composite to the folded A2 card base.
