Steampunk Sunflower Card & Tag

Hello BPM Fans!
As I was driving home from the grocery store yesterday, I took a different route home and spotted several rows of sunflowers in front of a house. These flowers were at least 7 or 8 feet tall and I had to stop to admire them.

That inspired me to make this sunflower steampunk card. I hope it inspires you too to play along in this month's challenge theme, Steampunk.

Steampunk Halloween

Hello Blank Page Muse Fans!

This is my first blog post as a new Design Team Member for BPM. I am so excited to be part of the team and to share my creations using BPM stamps and other products!

Halloween is just around the corner and with the current pandemic, there won’t be too many parties this year. Wouldn’t your friends just love to get a Halloween card from you? Today I am sharing my Happy Halloween steampunk card. This card is perfect for either a male or female friend. I hope this inspires you to join our monthly challenge theme, "Steampunk."

Supplies:

Instructions:

Start by stamping and coloring your pumpkin stamp. I used a stamp positioner and lined the bottom with a piece of craft foam instead of gluing the foam on my stamp. I put a piece of cardstock on the foam to keep the foam clean.

*Place some washi tape on the back of the stamp to adhere it to the cover of the stamp positioner. Most stamp positioners use magnets to hold your paper in place while stamping. By sandwiching them in painters tape, makes for easy placement of the magnets as needed.

Used distress inks to color a piece of white cardstock before cutting out the gears.
I am using my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the gears, but you can use metal dies or a hand punch.

Next, cut out two more gears, bigger than the others.
Then color them in with your distress inks.

Cut out the cardstock and patterned paper to fit on a 6” x 6” card.
My patterned paper already had a sentiment, but you can stamp or write your own.

Adhere everything to the card with liquid glue and use foam squares to add dimension to the pumpkin. Add a fun charm with a bit of twine.

I took the extra gears and I glued them to the inside of the card along with a strip of
patterned paper.

Lastly, I added some bats I found in my craft stash to the card and I accented all the gears with a little bit of glitter from the Wink of Stella.

I hope this card inspires you to make a steampunk card and enter this month’s challenge! Thank you for visiting!

Betty

Fabulous Fall

Hello All Lanette Here!

Today I'm going to share a festive fall tag featuring a couple of Pam's fabulous Fall stamps!

First lets take a look at my card and then I will take you through my process.

Blank Page Muse Stamps Supplies Used:  Pam Bray's Fall Collection

Other Products Used: Ribbon, Twine, Cardboard, StazOn Ink, Art Anthology Paint & Colorations Spray.

Now lets look at my process......

I started by stamping one of Pam's Fall Stamps at the bottom and flipping it over and re stamping an inch above the first image.

Next I choose a warm color comb and sprayed my background.

After the golden colors were dry I added a bit of red to mix it up a bit.

Just to add a bit of sparkle I added a bit of  Art Anthology Sorbet through a leaf stencil.

Next I stamped several of the leaves from the Fall Collection. After I stamped the images I painted them using a mix of Art Anthology paints.

After my paint dried I cut my leaves out and began building up my embellishments.

Next I knew I wanted to use one of the verses from Pam's collection but I wanted it spaced a little differently so I just stamped it a few times and cut away...

Same verse just a little different look...

And there you have it easy peasy a fun little tag to celebrate the fall season!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

I hope that I have inspired you to have some inky fun of your own!

Thanks for Fall!

Hello All Lanette Here!

Today I'm going to share a fun fall card featuring a couple of Pam's fabulous stamps!

First lets take a look at my card and then I will take you through my process.

Stamps Used:  Pam Bray's Fall Collection

Other Products Used: Ranger water-brush, Distress Ink, India Ink, Vera Ink, Embossing powder, Golden Gloss Gel, Watercolor Pencils, Ribbon and Pattern Cardstock.

Now lets look at my process......

I started by making a quick mask with a post it note.

Next I used my little post it mask to stamp the image over and over with out over lapping the ink.

Next I colored my image using a water brush and my water color pencils.

After I colored my image I sealed my colored images with a bit of gloss gel.

Next it was time to add a bit of background color, again using my water colors.

Next I stamped & heat embossed my verse, this is another fun stamp from Pam's Collection.

Next I started to build my card by matting and framing my image on a bit of pattern cardstock.

The last thing I added was a pretty little bow..

And that's it easy peasy a fun Fall Card to share with a dear friend :)
