Themed stamps....they aren't just one use products

Hi everyone!  I'm Peg and I am a guest designer for Sin City Stamps.  Today I'm here to show you how you can use themed stamps for other things than just the holiday/intended them they are designed for.  I used my Christmas themed Santa stamp with a little twist so join me as I show you how you can use this stamp for a fun birthday card.

Supply list:  Peg Rounds Christmas Stamps, Blue Ink Pad, Stamping Block, Tape (either scotch tape or painters tape) Ribbon, Shaped dies and die cut machine, computer with a document program for sentiment and printer, card stock for card base and for printing sentiment, glue and tape runner to attach bow and card base

Begin by using a computer to add the text to a piece of card stock that is for printer use and printing it out.

Next, place the stamp on a stamping block and use the tape to cover all areas of the stamp that you do not want included in your stamped image.  Here I taped Santa's hat as I did not want him to look like Santa.  I wanted him to look like an old man instead.

Ink the stamp with the stamp pad.  It's ok if ink gets onto the tape.

Remove the tape and clean off any edges that may have gotten ink on them where you don't want it.

Stamp the image onto the printed card stock sheet.

Die cut the image using a die that will fit around it and then die cut the card base from a larger size.  Assemble the card and glue the bow onto the top of it.

You now have a fun birthday card and a new way to use some of your favorite holiday stamps.  The next time you think you don't have a stamp for that stop and take a second look at the stamps you already have.  You may just find one to use all year long!

Thanks for stopping by today and joining me in the fun!  Be sure to head over to the Sin City Stamps website and take a look at all of the great products carried.  I know you will find a lot of favorite things to use.
