Hello, crafty friends! Today, I'm sharing a ocean-theamed card that looks more complicated that it really is! As you may know, I live at the beach, and I'm 100% mermaid! When I saw these products, I had to use them! I'll walk you step-by-step through the process of making this card.
I started with a white, slimline card panel and Ocean Waves Slimline Stencil. I taped the stencil to my work surface, then added Turquoise Stencil Butter to the bottom of the stencil, scraping upward so a tiny amount reached the top. Then, I took some white texture paste from my stash. I mixed it with some of the Stencil Butter for a lighter color and working light to dark, I added paste from top to middle.
This is the result of mixing the two pastes: the Turquoise Stencil Butter and white texture paste from my stash. I wish the camera could pick up all the sparkle!
Next, I added a sweet Narwhal jumping out of the waves to say hello. Narwhals aren't known for breaching the water surface, but mine does, so just go with it...lol I stamped the Narwhal in Copic-friendly black ink.
I colored the Narwhal using alchol markers from my stash. I trimmed the panel down to 8 1/4 x 3 1/2".
Here, I added the sentiment from Mermaid Fantasy Narwhal Art and added the panel to a piece of turquoise cardstock.
