Hello! Welcome back to the BPM blog. For this month, the BPM DT is creating projects using stamps from a stamp bundle chosen by Kim, the owner of BPM. The bundle includes four stamps. I used one of the stamps in the bundle in today's post. I used the Blank Page Muse Etched Stone Flower Art rubber stamp.
I prepared the stamp for inking. The stamp I used is unmounted. There is an option to have this stamp mounted when you purchase this stamp. You just need to add a dollar to the cost of the stamp.
I applied a temporary adhesive to the back of the rubber stamp using an Elmer's Washable Glue stick. I adhered the rubber stamp to my stamp platform so I can re-stamp the image if needed. I inked the stamp with a brown dye ink.
I pressed the stamp to the light brown cardstock. I inked the stamp again and re-stamped it coming up with a crisp image as seen on the photo below.
I die cut the stamped panel with a circle die.
I added texture to this panel by running it through my die cutting machine with a background die that creates this Aida Cloth texture.
I die cut the above pieces on the same brown cardstock. My cardstock is light weight so I die cut extras to stack it and make it thicker. The die cut on the bottom left is a circular note card which I die cut with the die hanging a bit above the folded side of the brown note card. It prevents the folded part of the card from being cut.
I adhered the embroidery hoops on top of each other.
I applied liquid glue to the edge of the stamped panel.
I adhered the embroidery hoop die cut to this. You can actually stop here and use this as a tag or use it as a focal point of a note card.
I applied glue to one of the circle die cuts. I adhered this to the back of the embroidery hoop piece. This does not only make this piece sturdy. It also covers the back of the stamped piece which has poked holes on it.
I folded the front of the circle note card at the center.
I reinforced this fold with a bone folder.
I applied glue to the bottom fold on the front of the circle note card.
I adhered the embroidery hoop piece to the glued area making sure that the image is upright.
I created a stopper which is the piece that will keep the easel up. I stamped a sentiment on the same colored cardstock. I die cut extras so I can stack the pieces creating dimension.
The sentiment I used is not from Blank Page Muse. I just preferred a sentiment with a coordinating die to make it easier. If you don't have a small sentiment with a coordinating die, you can cut the sentiment into a strip and cut extra strips to create your own dimensional stopper.
I adhered the sentiment to the inside of the notecard.
This is how the easel card looks when close. You may still use it as a tag for a card with an area to write on. The recipient has an option to put this up on display.
I hope you like today's project. Thank you for stopping by. Don't forget to visit the BPM blog this month to see how the other DT members used the stamps from the BPM bundle.
