Hello, my crafty friends! Kelly on the blog today with Blank Page Muse. I love to create cards and I give them away to friends and family and to my mom-in-law so she can give them away too! She gets 10 - 15 cards a month from me so we are both using lots of cards.
The following supplies were used to create this card -
White cardstock
Black cardstock
Small ink cube
Versafine Clair Nocturne ink
Using the small ink cube in your choice of color, lightly swipe it along the bottom 1/3 of the white cardstock. You don't want to press too hard or your swipe will not look like a swipe, it will be a full-on stripe.
Set this piece aside to dry for just a bit, while drying, cut your black cardstock down about 1/4 inch on each side and glue to the front of the card then cut down the swiped piece of card to fit over the black cardstock. This will create 3 layers - card base, black card, and the stamped card. At this point, you can add ribbon or thread to the white stamped card or leave it as it is. I usually don't go for thread or ribbon because of the bulk.
Next, you will ink up the Birds on a Wire and stamp them over the swiped ink on the cardstock. Glue this panel down to the black card stock and you are finished!
I love making quick cards and many times I will leave them blank until I get ready to use them. I hope this quick card gives you several ideas of your own! Happy Crafting!!
