Steampunk Valentine

Hey BPM readers!  I'm new to the Dream Team here and thought I would start with a Steampunk Valentine! It combines everything I love in stamping;  history play, fancy dress, romance and a dash of sass.

Supplies:

Vintage Steampunk Gentleman with Wings
Steampunk Art stamp sheet (Woman)
Hearty Doodles Heart
Cardstock in white, red and pink.

Inks pads in the following colors: Pink, violet, light green, yellow, blue and black
Versamark Ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Heat Gun
Mesh stencil
Gears Embossing Folder
Pearl and Diamond flower embellishments
Foam Tape
Double-stick Tape
Scissors
Piece of foam or makeup sponge (for blending).

Instructions:

1. Stamp out the pair of Steampunk people in Black Archival Ink, masking the female (foreground) character.  Post-it notes are great for making paper masks.

2. Once the ink is dry on the stamped figures, blend around the figures in the background with blue ink and a piece of foam.  Hand color in the stamped people.  Please your stencil over your card and using a dabber or sponge, blend in a little bit of green around the people.

3.Stamp your heart onto a piece of glossy paper. Color the heart in with your pink and violet ink. Press the heart, face down into the Versamark, sprinkle heart with clear embossing powder and heat set. Repeat process on same heart until desired thickness and gloss is achieved.

4.Emboss the red cardstock with the gears. This creates a interesting background.  Ink the raised design of the gears with some yellow ink.

5. Layer your card as shown, using double sided tape and foam tape to add dimension.

6. Finish with a stamped sentiment, some pearls and other embellishments.

Now you are ready for the Valentine of your Steampunk dreams!
