Sympathy card

Hi everyone, can you believe it's July already? I can't, summer sure is going by quickly!
I made a card for you today using Terri Sproul's Plate of Rubber Stamps "Leaves".

First I used some watercolors and did a drip pattern across my paper and while that was drying I stamped the leaf stamp onto some colored paper using my Versamark ink and embossed it. Then I cut it out.

After everything was adhered to the card I used my Ident pen to outline the leaf and a Micron pen to doodle some lines around the edges of the card.

I really like how the textures of the water coloring look with the glossy embossed leaf.

  1. What a pretty little card! I love making drips in my artwork. The glossy embossed leaf is just the right finishing touch.

  2. I've never thought about what drips may represent......I just love the look of them. But now I probably will each time I add them. I love the subtle look of them on this card and they lend themselves beautifully to the sentiment. The glossy leaf, I agree is the perfect finishing touch.
