Thanksgiving Table setting

Hello everyone, this is Astrid from the UK.

As it is Thanksgiving tomorrow, I thought I would share a table setting with you. This is a time when we are all very busy, so this is a quick and easy project:
These are the stamps and products I used:
Create a Punpkin
Pam Bray Fall Collection 2
Core'dinations Kraft Core card stock in different colours
Plain Kraft card
Spellbinders round dies
Tim Holtz Seasonal Embossing folders
Distress Ink in Scattered Straw, Aged Mahogany, Gathered Twigs, Walnut Stain and Rusty Hinge
Distress Markers in Dried Marigold, Spiced Marmalade,  Rusty Hinge and Peeled Paint
Diamond Stickles
Sanding block
Gold gilding paste

I made a menu card, a place card and a serviette ring.
Lets start with the card first.

Here you can see most of the elements I used. As you can see I ran the smaller matting layer through an embossing folder. I sanded it with my sanding block to bring out the Kraft core and then rubbed some gold gilding paste over the raised bits. I coloured my flowers with Scattered Straw Distress ink and layered them up together. I also stamped some leaves as well still and coloured them also with my chosen colours of Distress. Here you can see the card all layered together.
The strip underneath the flowers and leaves was also created with a strip embossing folder, once embossed I cut it out as you can see below:

The place card was made in almost the same way, here you can see the detail:
The pumpkin is from the Create a Pumpkin set and the name was computer generated.
Finally for the napkin ring I simply took a 1 1/2" strip of embossed Core'dinations card and layered an embossed strip on top. The pumpkin was created by running a white piece of card through the same folder and cutting just the pumpkin, which was then coloured with Distress Markers
Well, there you have it. I wish all my American friends a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration.

Hope this project has given you a little inspiration and thank you so much for visiting today!

STEAMPUNK'D CHRISTMAS

Hello!  Today I am sharing a couple of cute note/gift cardholders that I made using the "Steampunk'd Christmas" Stamp set.

SUPPLIES:

Stamp the images you want to use on the mixed media paper and color them with glitter markers.  Cut them out.

Glue the images to each other in a way you like.  Add some gauze too.

Aren't they cute?  They could be ornaments too.  Put some gel medium on the front and back and they will stay perfect for years to come!!

Or, you can make them little note/gift cardholders like I did.  How many times has an unexpected visitor knocked at your door and you start to panic because you don't have a holiday card made for them.  Or, how many times have you bought gift cards but you forgot to take an extra free envelope?
Problem solved!!!

Here are 2 samples.  Just a scrap of paper from the "left over paper bin" (you KNOW you have one!!) a doily and a paperclip!

Thanks for visiting today!!  Be sure to visit the store and get your "Steampunk'd Christmas" stamps!!

Christmas Tag

Sisal tree (789x800)
Sin City Stamps has a great set of background texture stamps called Knock on Wood.  One of the images is a woodgrain texture, and it is perfect for making tags for my new Christmas tree decorations.

This is an easy way to make special tags for Christmas gifts or for embellishing decorations.

Here’s what you need:
Sin City Stamps Knock on Wood
#5 manila tag
Distress Inks in Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain
Embossing Ink (I used a VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad)
Embossing Powder (I used Comotion Red)
Ribbon or twine (I used hand dyed seam binding)

Gather a Harvest of Love Frame by Pam Bray

Hi it is Pam today sharing with you this fun 8 x 8 "Gather a Harvest of Love" Frame...if you love to watercolor, you will love this frame but first begin by placing a piece of fall pattern paper inside the frame and on the sides using the same pattern paper.

To make all the beautiful leaves, you will need your Fall Collection 2 Stamps from Pam Bray, Black Memories Ink, distress paint (listed below), mister bottle full of water, paint brush and watercolor paper. Stamp 18 leaves on to watercolor paper with your black ink....

Dab Mustard Seed and Barn Door Distress Paint on to your work surface, mist with water to thin it out....I also mist a puddle of water so I can dip my paintbrush into it as I am working....paint your leaves with Mustard Seed and then add the Barn Door to give the leaves dimension, it helps to even pick up a bit of each paint along with the water.....

Do the same with next set, only use Barn Door, Fired Brick and Frayed Burlap.....

and the last set with Wild Honey, Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves,

 Fussy cut them all out....

Punch out a 3 1/2" circle and stamp "Gather a harvest of Love" from the Fall Collection 2 Stamp Set and place it in the center of the frame.

Add all but three of the leaves you have painted around the circle, place a bow at the edge of the circle.

Place some dried fall pieces to the bottom of the frame along with the last 3 leaves to make them appear to be falling. I hope you enjoy my "Gather a Harvest of Love" Frame and try to make one for the Thanksgiving holiday. Hugs Pammejo

Stamped Mini Christmas Stockings

Stockings on red (710x800)
I used the lace image from Sin City Stamps' SinCity Wings rubber stamp set to embellish a plain muslin mini Christmas stocking.  Sin City Stamps has so many beautiful pattern stamps that you can adapt to multiple projects!

You can use these little stockings as decorations, in table settings or on packages.  They are also the perfect size for gift cards!

Supplies:  All you need is some plain, closely woven fabric (I used tea dyed muslin); ink (I used ColorBox Chalk Ink in Lipstick Red); thread to match your fabric; and something for the hanging loop (I used tea dyed rayon seam binding).
