Today I’m sharing an envelope book used with the Envelope Template from Green Sneakers, 

in which Sin City Stamps is teaming up with this month.

I made 12 envelopes using 12 different sheets of paper, each one representing each month of the year.

I made an accordion fold 6” in height, the same length of the envelope, by 12” from a piece of cardstock.  I scored a line every ½” and fan folded the paper.

I adhered the bottom, front of each envelope to the same side of the fan fold 

until all folds were filled with envelopes.

I made a front and back cover by covering a piece of chipboard, ¼” larger than the envelopes.   

I taped a long piece of ribbon into the cover.  This will help bind the book and keep it closed.

I adhered the covers onto the outermost piece of the fan fold.

Here is the binding, showing the fan folded paper and the ribbon.

 

I stamped, “Our Private Zoo” from the Wildlife stamp set, onto the front of the book.  

 I will keep pictures of my cat and many dogs in here.

I folded back the top of the envelope.  Since the paper I used was double sided, 

I wanted to be able to see both the outside and the inside of the envelope.

 

I will slip 4 x 6 pictures and/or scrapbook pages into the envelopes.

Sin City Stamps Embossing Envelopes

 Hello Peggy here to show how I put together some fabulous background stamps using Sin City Stamps and Green Sneakers Kreate-A-Lope Envelope Template.

Items used today are:
Sin City Stamps
Green Sneakers Envelope Template
Clear embossing powder
Versa mark ink
Distress inks
Heat tool
Eyelets
Twine
Bone folder
Paper
Hole punch
Double sided tape

Below is an envelope using the clear embossing powder on black to create a tone on tone effect.  I used a background stamp. Where the stamp didn't quite reach the edges of my envelope I used a texture stamp and stamped randomly around the edges. Since my background stamp was vertical I made a few adjustments to my template to create an envelope that opened at top.

 This is where I changed it up a bit.. I punched two holes and inserted two eyelets and threaded my twine for a closure. I taped up the two side flaps. I may use this technique for a future envelope mini album.

 Here is the same stamp as above. Only using clear embossing powder on a white sheet of paper. I distressed this white paper with distress inks. Then wiped my image clean to reveal awesomeness. 

This envelope below shows how I used the same stamp again for the background. My background stamp is not wide enough for this horizontal envelope, so I decided to stamp half on one side, half on the other and the entire stamp in the middle. I love how not all of the stamp made an impression. Where I had any lines to distinguish where my stamp started and ended I used a texture stamp to fill in the spots.

And last but not least .. an embossed focal image using the tone on tone effect with only clear embossing powder. The other images for the background were only using versa mark ink without embossing powder which gave me another tone on tone shade.

Mixed Media - Sin City Stamps - Stencil - Canvas by Design Team Member Lisa Mita

Hi Friends hope all is going well I can't believe we are almost done with May time is just flying…   Tuesday Morning at 5am I put my son on a school bus for his 8th grade Washington DC Trip.   This is his first time going away without me.  And yes I'm totally freaking out.

The only updates I got today was "mom I broke my glasses"…  but thankfully he's on instagram so I'm getting all the photo updates…  Today's technology - I don't know how my parents did it!!

Decided to have some fun with an old canvas that I didn't know what to do with, Montana Paint Markers and my Favorite Sin City Stamps Stencil.

Here's the canvas that I started - I was trying to play with Alcohol Inks.

So I loved this canvas - but couldn't figure out where to go with this…   so I pulled out my handy dandy Montana Paint Markers…   I have pretty much ever colors…  Below is the fun process.

Using the dark and light of each color gives it a lot of dimension…

Even used Browns, black/ silver and Iron curtain.

OMG I am in love right now… I know the photos don't capture it well - but this is just so textured…  I used the heat dryer so it was picking and bubbling when drying.

So - now i'm using my FAVORITE!!!  by Sin City Stamps Stencil Flower #2  i'm totally getting the whole line..

Used my other new favorite fun…  Super Heavy Gesso…

LOVE LOVE LOVE…

Used my spatula and greens to do the stems.

Then comes out the Montana Marker thin tip.

Using the same marker started outlining the stencils and getting some definision.

Pulled out the stickles for the middle of the stencils. and outlined the stems.

Then pulled out the Sin City Butterfly Die Cuts…  Used glue to glue the piece together.

Then pulled this from the Sin City Stamps Plate of Rubber - Classic Spark played with green paint then used the heater so it would bubble around the end.

Then attaching it on the canvas.
