Hello, this is Lori from Coast 2 Coast Cards. For my last card of 2025, I have a fun Valentine card for you! The final card is full of whimsy and shine.Follow along for instructions.
I began with colored cardstock in light pink. I usually use white, so this was a nice change. I used placed Hearts Stencil from Blank Page Muse onto the panel and taped down with low-tack tape.
Result after removing stencil. I used Barn Door Stencil Butter from Blank Page Muse for the color. To add a distress look, I also added a small amount of clear paste from my stash to the top of the hearts. While using the Stencil Butter, I gently dragged the clear through the red to swirl. When using paste with a stencil, make sure you apply from both directions, to catch both edges of the stencil.
Once the paste was dry, I cut down the panel and added a silver frame that I die cut from a die in my stash.
Then, I matted the panel with a piece of red cardstock.
I cut out a couple of sentiments that I had in my stash, and adhered with foam squares. When you have a lot of texture and/or a slick surface, like I have here, it's best to use a dry adhesive to add embellishments and sentiments.
