Hello, I am Suzette, a guest designer here at Blank Page Muse.
In keeping with the theme for March, I have made a beautiful journal page using the flower curtain and butterfly from The Heart of Nature Butterflies Bees Art Rubber Stamps designed by Donna Gray stamps from Blank Page Muse.
The supplies I used are:
· Heart of Nature Butterflies Bees Art RubberStamps designed by Donna Gray
· Embossing ink
· Embossing tool
· Black pigment ink
· Pink ink pad or whatever color you choose
· Silver embossing powder
· Wax colored pencils
· Watercolors
· Glitter brush pen (optional)
· Spray inks (watercolor can be used as a substitute)
· Glue
· Foam dots
· Journal page
· Card stock (white and blue)
· Laminating sheet run through laminator or packaging plastic
· Seed beads
Step One
Stamp the flower image onto card stock using embossing ink. Apply the embossing powder. Shake off any excess at and heat until the embossing powder is melted. Color the image with wax colored pencils
Step Two
Squirt some spray inks onto a craft mat and add a few drops of water. Dip the card face-down into ink for a couple of seconds and then set aside to dry.
Step Three
Stamp the butterflies using a waterproof ink such as pigment ink, and color with watercolors. Color body with a silver wax colored pencil. If you have a glitter brush pen, give them a light coat and allow it to dry. Once they are dry, use foam dots to stick them to the card.
Step Four
Using your favorite ink pad, add ink to the edges of the paper, working your way in.You don't have to do the centre as you will be covering it Set aside to dry.
Step Five
Grab your blue cardstock (or whatever color you are using). Cut out a window a little smaller than the cardstock used for your flower curtain image. Stick on a piece laminating sheet on the reverse side. Now place foam tape around the opening.
Step Six
Place the card face down. Do not stick down the top end yet.
Step Seven
Add seed beads and secure the top.
Step Eight
Stamp “You are wonderfully, wonderful!” and cut out. Go around the edges with black ink. A make-up sponge is great for this. Arrange on your journal page and glue in place.
