Guest Designer Jenn Durand~ Hap-bee Birthday!

Hap-bee birthday!

Hello everyone! This is Jenn and I’m here for my first Blank Page Muse blog entry. I’m going to show you how I made this HAP-BEE BIRTHDAY card using the Flowers and Leaves Border Art designed by Pam Bray and Bee Line Art Drawing stamp designed by Pam Bray.

I began by creating a background with Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint Distress Spray Stains from Ranger Ink.

Next, I stamped the Flowers and Leaves Border Art stamp twice with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black.

I stamped the Bee Line Art Drawing three times and fussy cut. Once cut out, I colored the bees with a Cadmuim Yellow Copic marker and added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in White Blizzard for a little sparkle. I put a tiny, little drop on each wing and spread it around with a toothpick (high-tech crafting, right?).

I decided to spread the joy of sparkle (who doesn’t love a little sparkle?) by adding some of the Nuvo Glitter Drops to the Flowers and Leaves stamped images. I put a couple drops on a craft sheet and used the handy toothpick again, this time by picking up some of the liquid and putting in on the flowers.

I got a label maker in a white elephant gift exchange this past Christmas so I put it to use by making a custom sentiment (HAP-BEE BIRTHDAY!). I actually stole it (in the gift exchange, not in real life) and everyone seemed confused that I would steal a label maker when there were so many other gifts to be had, but I knew I could use it in my crafts!

Finally, I put everything together. I used foam tape to give the bees some dimension. The card panel was layered with a black panel and adhered to the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by the blog! Hope to see you again soon!

I hope you all enjoyed this wonderful project by one of new Guest Designers! You still have some time to enter our creative challenge. The link is HERE and off to the side there>>>>>

Make a Wish........

Hello Blank Page Muse Stamps Fans!!!

Here we are already into the new year!

Are you enjoying our "Happy Birthday" theme so far this month?
A great theme to start 2020 with lots of inspirational ways to use your BPM Stamps!

I'm particularly excited because January is my birthday month so I've been having a lot of fun creating my blog posts!

Today I am sharing some gift tags using BPM Stamps and some quirky collage elements. I love that these have a rustic and sort of messy feel to them.

Not only do these tags fir perfectly with our challenge theme this month but can also be adapted for Xmas and any other occasion - "Making a Wish" really relates to any occasion and we can always do with a guardian angel!

Hope you enjoy my post today!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: "Make a Wish" from Dandelion Wishes with Butterflies Stamp Set
Blank Page Muse Stamp: "Stars"
Collage Angels: Art Tea Life Collage Sheet used for these Tags
Manila Tags
Chalk Paints
Embossing Ink & Gold Embossing Powder
Black Archival Ink Pad & Scrap White Textured Paper
General: heat gun, scissors, glue, spatula
Extras: Smooch Gold Ink, Scrap muslin or gauze, ribbon or twine

Instructions:

Gather your bits & pieces - grab multiples and make several tags in the one sitting!

Start by painting the tags. Use a spatula to scrape "blobs" of the coloured chalk paints onto the background.  Allow to dry. Note: I love using a spatula because I am too lazy to clean a paintbrush and I love the messy rustic look!

Using the embossing ink pad and star stamp on the tag backgrounds emboss with gold powder. No need to be neat! Use the black archival ink pad to stamp "Make a Wish" onto white paper and tear out.

Edge the tags with gold Smooch and allow to dry. Arrange the collage angels, wording and gauze on the tags and adhere with glue. Tie a piece of ribbon or twine to the tag tops and you are done!

Happy Stamping!

Sharon

Happy Birthday~Easy DIY Card~ Challenge Link is Open!

Hey There wonderful Muse Fans!

Happy Friday and thanks so much for coming by today!

It's Kim today and I have a quick and easy Birthday card idea to share and want to remind you that today the Creative Challenge link is open! The rules are HERE and the link is below. It'll be added to the sidebar ASAP as well. Basically come on back and link up your NEW Birthday card or project using rubber or clear stamps, which need to be the STAR of the show! The stamps don't have to be ours but we'd love it if they were. The link is open until the 5th of February, Midnight Pacific time. Come back on February 9th when we announce the winner!

Here's my easy peasy DIY card I made using some papers I already had in my box o' backgrounds! I love making backgrounds and cannot stand to toss scraps and... is anyone in agreements with me? I love to keep them and it takes awhile sometimes before I can bring myself to use them!

That's one stash!

I looked through my box and pulled out some pieces that I liked today.

Those choices help set the colors for the card. To add interest and texture I tore strips from the paper. This is just like Kelly Parker did in here post HERE Paper strips are so amazing and fun to layer up!

Pick a stamp and proceed to stamp all over one of the torn paper strips. Remember is does not have to be perfectly spaced or stamped. Casual is just fine. I picked our Daisy stamp. You might recognize it from my last project, HERE

Place the stamped torn paper strip wherever you like, to me if felt most comfortable on the left side. Then tear the bottom and top to be even to the edges of the base.

I used a small photobooth style stamp and stamped on another scrap of book page. Most of my stamps are not mounted. I just use double stick tape on the block, it stamps great!

Add some more small stamping to the photobooth stamp and use the same stamp on the background, randomly. I used this flower stamp in purple for a bright touch.

I stamped Happy Birthday on another book page scrap a couple of times then picked the one I liked the best. I used the Happy Birthday from Pam's Llama plate, HERE

I used thin tape runner pieces to attach everything once I felt good about the layout.

I decided to add a little sparkle with some washi and rhinestones.

I hope you like it and that you feel inspired to play with your stamps and paper stash! Come back and share what you've made we'd love to see it!

Have an amazing day!
