Hello, crafty friends! This is Lori, from Coast2CoastCards with another card tutorial for you today using fun products from Blank Page Muse. I'm continuing with Valentine cards. I want to show you how versatile stencils are, so I used the same stencil as last time but the other elements are differnt. Follow along for a step-by-step guide on how I created this fun and whimsical card.
As I stated, I used the same stencil as last time: Hearts Stencil. I began by temporarily adhearing the stencil to Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb cardstock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" panel.
Last time I used the stencil, I used the stunning paste, Barn Door Stencil Butter. This time, I went for ink blending. I used the colors Spun Sugar, Kitcsh Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, and Festive Berries, for an ombre effect.
Once I finished ink blending, I cut the panel down to 3 3/4 x 5". Then, I stamped branches in Twisted Citron, Clouds in Prize Ribbon, and the sentiment in Versafine. All stamps are from You Make Me Happy Stamp Set. I tried to line up the branches so it looks like hearts are growing from a plant.
I colored the clouds and leaves with my Caran d'Ache colored pencils. It really brought my scene to life.
