Hello all,
Today, we are making a fun graphic card using the Sin City Stamps
Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls stamp sheet. (Fun fact for anyone new to unmounted rubber stamp sheets: after cutting apart the stamps, use a little bit of a two way glue pen on the back of the stamp so it will stick to the acrylic blocks or Misti thus not requiring foam mounting.)
Supplies:
Sin City Stamp:
Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls
Other supplies:
Card stock- white, blue and black
Foam tape
Sentiment dies
Colored markers
Wink of Stella or iridescent watercolors, markers....
Graphic background stamp
Black detail Ink
Acrylic block or Misti
Step 1: Using the black ink, stamp the graphic background image onto a 5"x7" piece of cardstock.
Step 2: Stamp the sugar skull of your choice onto a small piece of cardstock.
Step 3: Cut out the skull and color using your markers. Next add some sparkle on the eyes and teeth.
Step 4: Cut the cardstock layers in colors of your liking; determining the size by dry fitting the pieces to insure card balance.
Step 5: Assemble the layers of cardstock onto the background.
Step 6: Die cut your sentiment.
Step 7: Use foam tape to "pop-up" the skull on card. Glue sentiment in place.
