Motivational Magnet

I don't know about you but I can always use a little extra motivation whether in art or in my life. It is known by my friends that I have been trying to lose weight so I figured some motivational words placed strategically on the fridge would work...and a magnet would be perfect.

I began by re-cyling an advertising magnet ( I get them from the front cover of my phone book ) and covering it with some of my handmade paper using the Beacon Quick Grip to adhere it.

Then I used some Ranger's Distress inks in coordinating colors to stamp some background words from the Anime Fairies Art Rubber stamp set.

And I added some hand stitching with embroidery floss around the border of the heart and dangled some stars that also are on the  Anime Fairies Art Rubber stamp set. This plate of rubber has so many wonderful embellishments on it that work so well together.

I wanted my baby dragon ( isn't he cute? ) to have some dimension so I double stamped the image. Once on the heart and then again on the same green background paper. It also helps to keep your fussy cutting to a minimum to not have to try and cut out the finer details. I embellished my little dragon with some sparkly goodness before gluing them together.

The roosters that I collect and keep in my kitchen were my inspiration color palette for my magnet.

Thank you for visiting.

  2. I think when we loose weight somewhere down the line we procrastinate much like when we do art and crafts. So i watch videos. Maybe you could watch a few videos on exercising or cooking healthy. Best of luck Sabdee! ♡♡♡
