Halloween is Black, White & "Bloody" Red All Over!

A "Spooky" Hello to all the Blank Page Muse Fans!!!
Are you loving this month's blog posts so far?
I'm loving the Halloween themed creations - lots of ideas for you for next month and plenty of time to grab your stamps from the store and get creating yourselves!
I've made some spooky black, white & red cards with some of the fab Halloween themed stamps by one of my fav artists - Rick St Dennis - he has lots of designs to choose from at the store!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Pumpkin Head Dude designed by Rick St Dennis
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Mr Skelly Tonn designed by Rick St Dennis
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Spooky Word
"Blood" Red Ink Pad OR Embossing Pad and Fine Red Embossing Powder
Card base: black or white card, size 14cm x 14cm square when folded in half
Scrap black and white card
Digital patterned papers OR pre printed patterned papers: digital papers used here "Bloody Horror" @AlphabetStore Etsy
Your fave "gruesome" embellishments!!!
Tools: scissors, paper cutter, sewing machine, glue, double sided tape or glue stick

Instructions:
Stamp the images onto white cardstock with a nice "blood" red ink pad! Do multiple stampings so you can make several cards at once and have a "stash" handy! Fussy cut the main picture images and tear out the "spooky" wording.

Next step is to use your scraps of card to cut different size rectangles and squares. Cut your printed digital papers to just smaller than your pieces of card and adhere with double sided tape or glue stick. Cut one piece of patterned paper just smaller than your card front and adhere ready to sew. Use your sewing machine and a zigzag stitch to sew around each piece of layered card. If you want to neaten all the bits of cotton by pulling through to the back you can or do as I have done and leave the bits of cotton hanging - it adds to the "horror" LOL. I always love the look of sewing!

Arrange your sewn card pieces on the card front and adhere with tape or strong glue. Add your main image and "spooky" wording. You can add any other little embellishments to finish like some "bloody ink stained" muslin cloth!!!

Hope you have some fun making some cards like these - you can make this style of card with any themed stamps - Xmas cards would be great made like this!
Happy stamping!
Sharon :)
