Lighthouse-Lori

Hello crafty friends! This is Lori from Coast2CoastCards. Today, I have an ocean inspired card using products from Blank Page Muse. I live at the beach, so this is always my default style! I put together a lighthouse stamp with a wave stencil for an unexpected pairing. There is stitch detail on both panels. Follow along as I show you how I made this.

I took the Ocean Waves Slimline Stencil from Blank Page Muse and placed it on top of an A2 panel of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80lb cardstock. I was going to ink blend over it, but decided to do something different today!

I dry embossed the stencil using the flexible mat on my die cutting machine. I added a shim, so the final product shows a deep impression of waves. I could've left it like this, but decided to step it up.

I took an Altenew ink pad in a medium blue and ran it across the embossed panel. This left my with some blue waves.

I took a die from my stash to add some stitching around the edges of the panel. This adds some texture and interest to the final project.

I stamped this lighthouse from MS97 stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used this black because it gives you a crisp black result and is Copic friendly.

I colored the lighhouse red and the house black and white. This reminds me of a lighthouse I visited in the Outerbanks of North Carolina last summer.

I used the same die set for this panel. It will add cohesiveness between the two panels.

I added the smaller panel with foam tape to the larger panel. It adds dimension by popping elements up on your card. I also added the sentiment in the same black ink.

Final card. I like how it turned out. There's a lot of texture, dimension, and whimsy with the loosely colored waves. Have a great, crafty day!!
