Hello BPM Fans! Betty here today. As you all know, Blank Page Muse is known for their excellent red rubber stamps. They are continuing with their rubber stamps, but have now added clear photopolymer stamps! Today I am sharing a card with stamps I used from the Special Day Set Clear Sentiments Birthday Stamp Set designed by Pam Bray. Although the name of this stamp set indicates its a birthday set, it also has sentiments for other occasions, including thinking of you, hugs, and have a wonderful day filled with happiness. It's a fabulous set to have in your stash!
Supplies:
- Blank Page Muse: Special Day Set Clear Sentiments Birthday Stamp Set
- A2 size white card base
- Black cardstock for mat 5-7/8"W x 4-1/8"H
- White cardstock for card front 5-1/4"W x 4"H
- Masking tape/paper
- 1-3/4" circle punch
- Distress Ink or Oxide Ink: Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans, Hickory Smoke
- Blending brushes and Blending foam brush
- Stamp positioner or stamping blocks
- Black ink pad
- Decorative washi tape of choice
- Gray pearl gems
Instructions:
- Place a 2"x2" piece of masking tape on a piece of scrap cardstock the same size. Punch out a circle using the 1-3/4" circle punch to be used as a mask for the moon.
- Place the moon on the left side of the card front. Using the blending brush, apply Distress Ink or Oxide ink in Stormy Sky. Next, apply Faded Jeans towards the outside edges, leaving a bright ring around the moon and some space for the sentiment. Lastly, apply the Hickory Smoke on top of the Faded Jeans, concentrating on the corners and edges of the card.
- Peel off the mask from the moon and gently apply Faded Jeans to the moon to make some shadows.
- Stamp the first dandelion so that the head of the flower is over the center of the moon. Then stamp the one on the left and then one on the right.
- Stamp the small butterfly on the center of the moon, placing it on the top end of the moon. Then stamp another small butterfly on the left. Use the larger butterfly to stamp one on the right.
- Stamp the sentiment.
- Add a piece of washi tape to the bottom of the card. Wrap the ends of the tape around the back of the card.
- Adhere the card front to the black cardstock mat, then adhere this to the card base.
- To finish the card, add a few gray pearl gems.
The beautiful card is finished! So easy and fun to make. I hope you give this card a try!
