Hello! Susie on the blog today with a DIY twist on a traditional party game!
Most of us have played "pin the tail on the donkey" in our lifetimes, right? It's a simple party game that is fun for all ages. I remember a fairy themed party I had for my daughter when she was in 1st grade and we adapted that game to "put a flower in the fairy's hair" with a store bought poster. I have re-created the game for you today using a really cute winking fairy from one of the Anime Fairy rubber stamp sets!
Time to play...

Winking Fairy Fantasy Art Rubber Stamp
Blank Page Muse
Flower from the Scribble & Scratch Mixed MediaSet 2
Projector for tracing
White paper
Black ink
Poster Board
Permanent Black Marker
Acrylic Paints - Skin tone, Bright Green, Purple, White, Blue
ColorBox Blends 2 - Melon, Sunshine, Pansy, Tutu, Stop, Wildberry
Therm O Web Zots

Directions:
Begin by stamping the image of your choice onto white cardstock with black ink.
Project stamped image onto a poster board.
Using a pencil, trace the image onto the poster board.
Using a permanent black marker, trace over the pencil lines being careful not to smear your work as you go. Color as desired using acrylic paints.
Stamp flower image onto cardstock multiple times. Make each flower a different color then trim them out with scissors. (Option: Allow party guests to color their own flowers)
Add an adhesive dot to the back of each flower.
Using a permanent black marker, place a small "x" on the fairy poster to mark the target spot for the party-goers.
Follow the rules for "pin the tail on the donkey" and have fun!
A lot of birthday parties these days seem to have themes so be sure to check out your rubber stamps to help decorate and plan for fun.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find some time to play today!
