Quick and Easy Zombie Card

BOO!   Zombie greetings to you!  Today I am sharing this quick and easy stamped card I created with Blank Page Muse Stamps.

Supplies Used
Card Stock
Wood Zombie Cut out
Distress Ink Markers
Embossing Ink and powder

Stamp Blank Page Muse Halloween Cobweb with Spider Art Rubber Stamp  onto 4 card stock squares.  Emboss with white embossing powder.  Note:  I wanted a grungy look so I did not treat my card stock to remove the static in order to get lots of stray embossing spots.

Mat onto card stock (I changed my card stock color during my planning process.)  Color Wood zombie as desired.  I created a hand written banner as my greeting and added to card  to finish.

Pumpkin Princess Halloween Wand

Hello, hello! Samantha here with a fun Halloween surprise you can easily make with your favorite ghouls and goblins. Sometimes we want to do something a bit less sugary for Halloween and while this project won't cause cavities it's still pretty sweet.

You will need the following:

Let's begin. Stamp the pumpkin stamp onto white cardstock and color it in with orange colored pencils. Totally optional but I chose to use a bit of Gamsol to blend my coloring a bit.

Fussy cut your pumpkin and transform it using one of the fun Jack-o'-lantern faces, black pigment ink, and clear embossing powder. Much less messy than actual pumpkin carving!

Trace your jack-o'-lantern onto black cardstock and cut out.

Wrap your tulle loosely between your thumb and forefinger. Cinch tightly in the center. Cut the looped ends.

Glue the center of your tulle to the back of your jack-o'-lantern with hot glue.

Wrap a paper straw in washi tape of your choice and adhere ribbons to the top using hot glue.

Here is a close up photo showing how I glued the ribbons to the straw.

Attach your jack-o'-lantern with hot glue to the top of your paper straw and glue the black cardstock behind it so that the straw is sandwiched in the middle.

That's it! Pretty easy. Head on over to the shop to check out this fun stamp set and don't forget to stop by the Facebook fan group to share your art. You could win a prize!

Until next time,
Happy haunting,
Samantha

Trick or Treat Bag!

Hello Again!

Today I am sharing a fun Halloween Treat idea for you to prepare in advance
for any "Trick or Treaters" you may get knocking on your door come October 31st!

Here in Australia Halloween is not a huge event although in the past few years it has gained a bit more popularity sooooo if you place a sign on your front gate you may get some kids out seeking treats and at least I will be ready if I'm home and get my sign out - unless of course I eat the treats myself!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps: DriBonez skulls & Bones Stamp Set
Shrink Plastic
Permanent Black Ink Pad
Cello Gift Bags - I found mine on EBAY
Tools: scissors, hole punch, heat gun or oven, colour pencils (optional)
Extras: rubber band, string or thread, charms, beads or small embellishments, lollies - YUM!!!
Instructions:
Stamp your skeleton images onto the shrink plastic, colour with colour pencils if you like or leave blank. Cut out stamped image and use your hole punch to punch a hole. Shrink according to directions. You can get coloured shrink plastic for a different effect.

Fill your treat bag with yummy lollies in Halloween colours and secure bag with a rubber band. Use your string/thread to tie around the bag top and add your shrunk skulls!!!!! You can add some co-ordinating beads or charms as well or any other embellishments.

Have a great week!
Happy stamping!
Sharon

Stamped Trick or Treat Party Favors

With Halloween being my all time favorite holiday, I couldn't pass up the chance to make these oh so  spooky party favors! They are easy to make up and fun to fill.
I'll be making these to give to the kids in my neighborhood all through October, as a early Halloween treat!

To make party favors like these, you will need the following:

3. Halloween party fillers
4. Washi tape
5. Strong double stick tape
6. Stapler
7. Scissors
8. Crepe paper
9. Colored paper
10. Black ink for stamping
11. Assorted markers and glitter gel pens

For the party favors with pencils in them, I cut my paper to be 6 ½" x 11".
The smaller treat tubes measured to be 5" x 6 ½"
Use the black ink to randomly stamp all over the papers.

Have a little fun coloring in your stamped images!

To make the tube, tightly roll your paper first, to get its shape. Add a strip of double stick tape along one side and press the rolled end into the tape.

Gently press down one end of your tube and insert some crepe paper. Staple this shut.
Add some washi tape to this end, covering the staples. Use your scissors to cut slits in the crepe paper to make a 'fringe'.

Fill your tube with Halloween toys or candy.
Turn the tube and close the opposite end as you did before.

You can also fill these with money, gift cards, and other fun things!
Happy Halloween!

Beware Scare Box

Hello everyone!! So glad you stopped by, Kelly here with a Beware Scare Box for Halloween today. I love Halloween and I like to have small decorations setting around that create some mystery for the viewer, this box does just that, I think.

I found this little box that has a nice lid and closes well, it was already black so I didn't have to paint the outside of the box. I did, however, paint the inside a bit along the sides.

Blank Page Muse stamps used for this project are -

Beware Bat Badge

First, clean up your box and paint any edges or creases that need to be touched up. Then paint a backdrop piece for the back of the box. For this project, paint cardstock with your fingers in orange, yellow, and green for Halloween, glue into the back of the box. To measure the background piece, lay the box on the back of the painted piece and trace around it. When you cut, cut just inside the traced lines to fit in the box. Set aside.

Now, stamp all of your Halloween images in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink, and color with colored pencils and gamsol. The images will need to be fussy cutout, lay them aside.

Next, you will need to create an accordion fold to glue all of the images you have ready to create the vignette inside the box. If you have a scoreboard, score your paper every 1/4" for 6 times then fold along the lines in an accordion style. Leave a 1/4" edge on the front and the back for the glue.

Decide on how you want your images to appear in the box, then start with the back and glue in the background piece and one or two of the images on the back. Remember to glue them a bit high on the background piece so that they will show when the piece is finished. Then decide how you want the images to look inside of the box, make sure that you arrange them from tallest to shortest and stagger them on your accordion folds. When you have decided how you want them to appear, glue them in place and let dry. Run a glue line down the folds and on the tabs you left and place it in the box. hold in place until the glue is set.

Attach a few extra images to the front cover.

Using a sheet of washi tape, add to the front of the box attaching a printed paper panel and one of the fussy cut images to the front of the box. My box didn't need a closure but if it did I would have created a belly band to hold it together.
