Hi Sin City Fans,
I hope you will enjoy my tutorial for this cute Halloween tag. If you feel a little uncertain about stamping onto acetate, I hope to calm your fears and show you how easy it is. Also, be on the look out for my special tip about other ways to attach acetate to your project. Let's get going!
Supplies:1. Grunge Cobwebs Halloween Background by Pam Bray Designs (Sin City Stamps)
2. clear acrylic mounting block
3. acetate
4. permanent black ink
5. permanent orange marker
6. spray mist
7. pattern paper
8. ribbon
9. hole punch
10.black gems
11. pumpkin embellishment & small leaves
Directions:
1. Randomly spray orange mist onto white cardstock. When thoroughly dry, splatter flecks of copper spray.
2. Next, spray purple mist generously until a small puddle forms. Slowly tilt the paper so that the paint runs. When dry, splatter some flecks of purple spray.
3. Cut the misted background into a tag shape and matte it with a narrow
border of pattern paper.
4. Use permanent black ink to stamp the Grunge Cobweb image onto
acetate. Turn the impression over and use an orange permanent marker to
highlight parts of the design on the reverse side. (TIP: To discretely attach the acetate to the project... one can use stitching, brads, staples, or attach tape under an embellishment that will be on top of the acetate.)
5. Punch two holes about 3/4" apart centered along the top of the tag.
6. Thread ribbon through the holes from the front to the back so that the
tails extend off the back of the tag.
7. Cross the ribbons over and thread
them back through the same holes from the backside to the front of the tag. Then, neatly
trim the ends of the ribbon.
8. Make spiders by attaching two black gems of different sizes to form the head and the body. Then use a permanent black marker to add the spider's legs.
9. Finally, embellish the tag with a pumpkin embellishment and green glittered leaves.
