Mini Stamps Big Impact

Hi Chris here today sharing this cute Easter tag using the mini stamp from the Anime Fairies 2 Stamp set.

I started by inking over the Stencil #20 template using the Old Paper Distress ink.

I then embossed the tag with my embossing folder. A little hint, I partially cut along the fold of the embossing folder just enough to allow the tag to slip through the embossing folder.

 Here is the result.

I then stamped some mini flowers on the embossed image using the mini flower stamp from the Anime Fairies 2 collection.  I used the Distress markers to color directly on the stamps .  I stamped the flowers in multiple colors.  I added Liquid Pearls to the center of each flower. 

I then stamped the mini butterfly from this set onto vellum with Staz-on and then colored the back sid of the image with Copic markers. After fussy cutting the butterflies I attached them to the tag. 

I trimmed off the bottom of the tag that was not embossed.  I die cut out the bunny and inked edges of the bunny with Walnut Distress Ink and added the bunny to the bottom of the tag.

I added some ribbon and Baker's twine and matted the tag on card stock to finish off the tag.

 I had so much fun creating this tag I decided to use the same techniques and stamps to create this card.

I sprayed Glimmer Mist all over the tag.  After embossing the tag I "painted" the vines and flowers with distress ink and my water brush.  The butterflies were stamped on cardstock and then punched out with the Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  I  layered the flowers from Petaloo with Fabri-Tac from Beacon Adhesives and added microbeads to the centers of the flowers using Gem Tac from Beacon Adhesives. Twas the Night Before Christmas

Hi Chris here and I am sharing this Christmas Eve layout I created using Sin City Stamps! To get started I used the following supplies:

Sin City Stamps: Winter Wonderland - sleigh, small snowflake
                          Peg Round Christmas
                          Tiny Numbers for ATC 
Vellum
Patterned paper-Crate Paper
Cardstock
Ink- Staz-on, Ranger Archival (Jet Black, Red Geranium)
Tim Holtz Distress Markers-Ripe Persimmon, Squeezed lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Pine Needles, Iced Spruce, Festive Berries, Ground Espresso
Spectrum Noir Markers- TN3, TN5, DR3, PP5, CT3, TB3, JG1

I started out by first stamping the sleigh from Winter Wonderland onto vellum with Staz-on Ink.

I then fussy cut out my stamped image.

I then turned my image onto the back side and began coloring the image with my Spectrum Noir markers, I used TN3 and TN5 on the reindeer, and then  DR3 on Santa. I then used PP5, CT3, TB3, and JG1 to color the toys. Here is the result.

I then took the large candle banner from Peg Round Christmas.  This is a huge stamp, I angeled the stamp on my block for a better fit. 

After stamping my image I colored my image with the Distress Markers.

I then hand wrote my title

I then started on my layout by matting my background papers onto cardstock.  I choose bold papers to match the kids jammies. I then added a large red block to the background.

I then added a large circle cut from patterened paper.

 I then decided to add some small snowflakes to the red block for visual interest.

I then added my photos and then added the stamped sleigh at the top of my photos and the stamped title to the bottom of my layout.  I stamped the year on the bottom of the red block.

Father's Day Classic

Hi!  Chris here today sharing this classic Father's Day Card that was super fun and yet easy to whip up in a short amount of time.  I started with these supplies:

Sin City Stamps: Classic Spark; Terri Sproul Alphabet Set 
Pacon: Multi Media paper
Cardstock
ColourArte: Radiant Gels -Copper Pearls (altho link shows the color looking more coppery-  my jar looks more pearly)
ColourArte Twinkling H2Os - Mandarin Citrine, Iridescent Blue
Ink- Ranger Archival Jet Black, Ranger Tim Holtz Cracked Pistachio, StazOn Jet Black
Distress Marker - Squeezed Lemonade

To start out I painted my background using the ColourArte Radiant Gels on my Multi Media paper

After the was dry, I stamped the over the paint with my StazOn and my background stamp from the Classic Spark Collection. I love how it kind of reminded me of a 50's diner floor!  Perfect for the theme of my card!

I then matted that background piece onto black cardstock to fit my card.

Before I got too far along I stamped the inside of my card and then stamped and matted my greeting. 

I then stamped the car image again on my Multi Media paper using the Ranger Archival Ink.  I then proceeded to "color" in my image.  I used the Cracked Pistachio on the car body by stamping my ink pad onto by craft sheet and picking up the ink with my water brush.  

I have to admit that at first I stamped with my Memento Ink pad, forgetting I was using water.  In the first image you can see the ink bleed into my color , the second image uses the Archival ink.  

I added the Iridescent Blue Twinkling H2Os to any parts of the car that would be chrome or white walled.  I added the Squeezed Lemonade Distress Marker to the headlights and then a touch of the Mandarin Citrine for a bit of extra shine.   I then fussy cut out my car and added it to the front of my card. 

I then stamped DAD using the Terri Sproul Alphabet onto my MultiMedia paper and matted that onto black cardstock.

Today I am going to share a couple sweet little cards that can be used for almost anything!

Lets start by taking a look at my finished cards, then I will show you how I made them :)

Other Supplies Used: Tim Holtz Distress Markers, Ranger Water Brush, Tim Holtz Mask Material, Faber Castell Gelatos, Staz-on Ink, Versa mark Stamp,& Heat Embossing Powder.

Now lets look at my process......

I started by stamping my image on my two cards and the masking material.

Next I fussy cut my masked image.

My Next step was to add my verse stamp, that is also found in the Baby Animals Art Rubber stamp collection.  I heat embossed my verse so it would resit the gelato background.

After placing my masked image over my stamped image I started created my background using Gelatos. 

My last step was to remove my mask and color my zebras shirt using Distress Markers.

Lets take one more look at my cards just for fun! After all they are super cute!

Winged Bodice Card

Hi Chris here sharing this card using Sin City Stamps Anime Faireis #2 and Vintage Fashion Stamp sets.

Supplies used:
Sin City Stamps:  Sin City Stamps Anime Faireis #2, Vintage Fashion
Cardstock: Kraft, White, Core'dinations Kraft Core
Embossing Folder: Tim Holtz
Bodice Template: Stampington.com
Ink: Tim Holtz Distess Ink (fired Brick), Staz-on
Adhesives: ATG, Quickie Glue Pen
Glitter: Wow
Punch: Kreaxions/Just Imagine #920
Other: Sequin ribbon, gem, Vellum

To create this card's background,  I started with Core'dinations Kraft core card stock and used a Tim Holtz Embossing folder.  I sanded the background piece to bring out the Kraft Core.  I added a punched border using one of my Kreaxion punches (# 920).

I then traced a bodice template from Stampington.com.  Sin City has lots of bodice stamps that would look great on this card.  I then stamped multiple partial images of the umbrella from the Vintage Fashion Set.

I then cut out the images and added to the bodice for a lace ruffly look.

 I then added some sequin ribbon to the center of the dress for a belt.  I added a red gemstone to the center of the ribbon.

 To create the wings I stamped the wings from the Anime Fairies 2 onto vellum with Staz-on and then fussy cut out the wings.  I used my Quickie Glue Pen to add glue to parts of the wings and then added red glitter and then I attached the bodice to the card.

Hi Chris here today sharing this adorable layout using Sin City's Anime Fairies 2 and Sin City Stencils Pattern 20  For this layout I used

To create this layout I first fussy cut out the interior of the Secret garden paper to create a floral overlay.

 

You will notice that at first I had the little girl left in.  After laying my whole project out, I decided to fussy cut her out of the layout. I placed the fussy cut floral overlay onto the card stock background and lightly marked where the floral overlay would sit. I then used the  Sin City Stencils Pattern 20 and used Versamark embossing ink to create the background.

 

 

 

 

I printed my journaling block and attached to the background cardstock and then added my photo.  I attached the floral overlay using mounting tape and strips so that there was some dimension to the layout.  I added a ribbon strip and bow to the layout along the bottom.

 

I then stamped multiple fairy images onto vellum using Staz-on Ink. I stamped 5 of what I call the "buttercup fairy", one of the fairy bust with the hair wrapped around, several of the butterflies (but only used one) and one of the Fairy torso with her hand over her heart.  You can see the exact images in the posts below.  

 

 

 

I then turned my vellum to the back side (the side not stamped) and colored in my images with Copic Markers. A few hints about coloring on vellum- the colors show up a bit lighter than you anticipate so you may want to choose a darker shade, if you go outside the lines its ok, just use your colorless blender to remove the ink. I did not due any fancy shading with the Copic markers, but I did add 2-3 colors on the hair. 



 

 

I then fussy cut out each of the images. 

I added the fairies and butterfly onto the layout.  Since the vellum is see thru, I was able to used the back side of several of the images switch the way the fairies were facing.  I added stickles to the wings of the fairies for a little fairy dust.  And here is the final product.  I love how the fairies are see thru, it makes them seem more magical.
