How to Create a Stamped Christmas Card

It's Almost time for Santa to make his yearly rounds!  Today I would like to share a cute stamped card to celebrate his annual arrival! The stamping is simple and easy enough to create a few if you need them for last minute gifts!

This card combines stamps from two (2) different stamp sets.

Trim your white card stock to be slightly smaller than your card base.

Stamp the trees from the Beyond the Border Christmas Set 1 CLEAR Stamps designed by Pam Bray onto white card stock using green ink. I chose to use my stamping platform to help insure my tree stripes were straight. Continuing stamping trees in stripe formations across card stock background.

Once your background is complete, stamp the Santa sleigh from Winter Wonderland Art Rubber Stamp Sheet Set from Blank Page Muse  using black ink.  When I mounted my stamp I included one (1) snowflake with my sleigh.

Mount your stamped images onto a coordinating card stock and add to your card base.

I added a cluster of  Christmas-y ephemera in the bottom corner to complete my card.

I hope you are inspired to get creative with your stamps and papers from Blank Page Muse and I Brake For Stamps.  Don't forget to use my discount code BPMChris.

May You Never be too Old . . .

Hey there, friends!

It’s creative team member Walter back on the Blank Page Muse blog today.  The holiday season is in full swing and Christmas magic is in the air.  Today's post is all about that.  I have always loved the saying, "May you never be too old to search the skies on Christmas Eve."  It's so nostalgic for me - it brings back Christmas memories from my childhood and the good times that we had as a family.  Today's card celebrates that magic.

Here's what I used to make it:

I really love the vintage feel created by the country village and Santa stamps.  The mica spray and white ink splatters give the sky a snowy look, and the grits paste provides to much texture to the ground and roof tops.

I hope that my creation helps you feel some of the magic of the Christmas season!

You may read more about my creative process on my blog.

Thank you for spending some time on the blog with me today.  See you again soon!

Create a Background Using Border Stamp

Hello! Welcome back to the BPM blog. Christmas is just around the corner. One of the traditions that I enjoy doing during this season is sending my own handmade Christmas cards. How about you?

I used the BPM Beyond the Border Christmas set on today's card. This stamp set includes a Christmas tree border that is vertically oriented.

I repeatedly stamped the Christmas tree border on a green cardstock using a sticky ink. I poured a chartreuse colored embossing powder to the sticky ink, then heat embossed it.

I spritz the panel with a glimmer spray. After I dried this with a heat gun, I embellished the trees with a red enamel glue drops.

Although the tree includes a star on the top of the Christmas tree as part of the image, I added a holographic star die cut to the top of the tree for more shimmer.

I hope you like today's card. Please visit my blog, Maria Giselle's Creative Cuts, for card details.

Another Card & Envelope Set Using Digital Printed Paper Plus a Bonus Card

Hello! Welcome back to the BPM blog. Today's cards suit today's season. I love the season of Fall! I love watching the leaves change colors. What gorgeous colors!

I am using a Blank Page Muse digital download printable called A Cozy Fall Harvest. I created a similar project using another BPM digital download (Card & Envelope Set Using Digital Printer Paper). Please click the link to see the post.

The download consists of 9 sheets of digital paper and 2 sheets of digital paper with ephemera. There are lots of crafting possibilities when using digital paper. You can re-size it and/or crop it depending on your crafting needs. The only requirement of a digital paper is a good and reliable printer.

Since I printed extras and while my craft supplies are on my desk, might as well create another card, right?

I hope you like today's cards. Please visit my blog, Maria Giselle's Creative Cuts, for card details and close-up photos of these cards.

Spotlighted Holli

 Spotlighted Holli

Hi it's Sue with a spotlight technique.

I thought it would fun to spotlight Holli for the holiday.  Spotlight technique can be done is different ways, this is just one.

Basically what you do is stamp image on cream cardstock layer also on red, and pink layers.  Leave the cream one whole, and cut the colored ones in strips.

You can get more information on my blog.

Have You Tried Mirror Stamping?

Hello! Have you tried mirror stamping? Mirror stamping is when you stamp your image to create an opposite impression of your image. This technique extends the use of your stamps. It requires a stamp larger than the stamp you want to do an image mirror of, a juicy ink and a stamp positioner.

The birds were colored using a smooshing technique. This is where I spritz some pigment to a craft mat, and I pick up the pigment with the watercolor paper. I dry the paper in between smooshing to create some texture. I also flicked paint to this panel to add more colors.

I hope you give mirror stamping a try. It takes practice and the right combination of craft supplies but the result gives your stamp another use. Please visit my blog, Maria Giselle's Creative Cuts, for card details.
