Burlap Reindeer Ornament

Chris here and today, sharing this ornament I created for Sin City Stamps!
I admit I was a little freaked when to call came out to create an ornament - even rushing out to purchase a  "ornament" to cover with stamped images.  But once I took a deep breath I decided to play and have fun with the challenge and I  LOVE  the results!

To re-create this tag you will need
Sin City Stamps - Classic Christmas
Burlap, Corrugated paper
Flower sprig
Jute
pompom
glitter
glitter glue - red
Watercolor markers
Multi media glue
Archival Ink

Start by cutting a  scrap of burlap into a tag shape with a flap for hanging.
Fold over flap to create a "pocket" to later insert string.

Stamp the reindeer with Archival Ink.  Color image with Watercolor markers and a water brush.

Adhere reindeer to corrugated paper and add glitter to "snowy" area of stamped image.

Add reindeer piece to tag.
Add piece of silver sprig, jute bow and the pompom.  Add jute to hang ornament and finish reindeer with a drop of red glitter glue onto his nose!

Here is a close up of the finished project!

Cheery Greetings Card

Hi Chris here and today I am excited to share this bright and cheery card I created with Sin City Stamps!

Sin City Stamps Supplies

Other Supplies
Burlap, Patterned paper, Cording, markers or watercolors, water brush, Archival Ink, cardstock

To create this card start by stamping the script from Art Journaling #2  onto cardstock.
I did stamp the stamp twice since it only covered half of the paper.
Don't worry if you don't get the script exactly aligned, it won't show in the end product!

Stamp the tree rings from the Knock on Wood Stamp Set  over the script.

Mat onto patterned paper and wrap a coordinating cord or fiber around the edge and attach to card
base.

On another piece of cardstock stamp the flower bunch from Flower & Bird Sketches Stamp Set

Color your image using markers or watercolors.

Mat flower image onto burlap then attach to your card.

Here is the finished project again! Hope you are inspired to get stamping!

Flying Witch Halloween Decoration

Night Flight (3)
I made this hanging pillow Halloween decoration with the Flying Witch from the Sin City Stamps Halloween Takes Flight stamp set.  For details on how to make the canvas in this picture, see this post.

I stamped the Flying Witch image onto a piece of tea dyed muslin with India Black Ink from Stewart Superior.  Stewart Superior provided us some inks to work with, and this one makes a nice, crisp image on fabric.  It helps to put your fabric on top of some craft foam when you stamp.  For more tips on stamping on fabric, see this post.

I added the text with ColorBox Chalk Ink in Pumpkin Spice.
