Woodland Flowers

Greetings Chris here and today I am sharing this bright and cheery greeting card that was inspired by this month's challenge board.

This card features Blank Page Muse's Flower & Bird Sketches Art Rubber Stamp Sheet Set,  Dandelion Wishes with Butterflies Art Rubber Stamp Sheet by Terri Sproul and Knock on Wood Rubber Stamp Set Sheet.  Combine these stamps sets with some card stock, a scalloped punch, archival inks, distress markers and a water brush and you are set to recreate this card.

Start by stamping the flowers from Blank Page Muse's Flower & Bird Sketches Art Rubber Stamp Sheet Set onto a punch scalloped circle.

Colored the stamped image with distress markers as desired.

Create your background by stamping wood block from Knock on Wood Rubber Stamp Set Sheet onto colored card stock.

I just love the details in this stamp!

Flick on yellow ink and allow to drip down the canvas, dry with heat tool.
Next drip on dark red ink and drip it down the canvas, allow it to mix a little with the yellow before drying it off.

Stamp the butterflies of all sizes onto the vintage newsprint paper and cut out.
Adhere to canvas from large to small using 3D foam pads.
Finish off by stamping out a sentiment onto card and adding to canvas.

When I received this month's Back to School Challenge theme, the only thing that came to mind was class clowns!  I know that lots of people have clown fears but I wanted to show that clowns are fun too!  They even have to go to clown school to learn how to make you laugh!

You Make My Heart Smile

 Hi Crafty Folks,

Today I made a fun fall card to kick of the season.  It is a simple layered card that would be easy to assembly line produce. The sentiment can be change to fit any occasion you would need.

Sin City Stamps - Knock on Wood
Other Supplies:
Card stock in various fall colors
  Die cut sentiment
  Die cut leaves
  Gold embossing powder
  Various fall color inks
  Embellishments
  Foam tape

Step 1:  Measure and cut layers to fit your chosen card size (each layer being a quarter inch smaller then the last.)

Step 2:  Die cut various fall leaves. Next emboss the cuts with gold embossing powder using Sin City Knock on Wood Stamp set to give the leaves a wood grain texture.

Step 3:  Ink blend the leaves with various fall colors to coordinate with the card stock.

Step 4:  Die cut the chosen sentiment.

Step 5:  Glue sentiment onto top card layer.

Step 6: Stack and glue the remaining layers forming the card base.

Step 7: Using foam tape affix the sentiment layer to the card base.

Step 8:  Arrange gold twine and leaves to your liken and add several gold pearls to complete the card.

We hope you enjoy making your version of this card.  Please share it with us at the Sin City Stamps Fan Page on Facebook.
