Dream Big Dreams!

 Hi BPM Fans!

Here we are in another new month yet again - this year is flying by!

Today I am sharing a Summery card to match our "Beachy Vibes" blog theme this month!
Of course here in Australia we are coming into Winter and not Summer but I'm still happy to create something that makes me feel warm!

I've combined stamps designed by Pam Bray with some beachy collage squares I came across in my "scraps" container and thought they all worked well together!

Hope you like my card!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp:
Blank Page Muse Stamp:
White Card & Ink Sprays
Scrap Kraft Card
Black Ink Pad
Square Base Card
Beach Themed Collage Squares - Alternatively cut squares from Beach Themed Patterned Cardstock
Embellishments
General: scissors, glue

Instructions:
Start by stamping the surfboard stamp onto white cardstock that has been sprayed with coloured ink sprays and fussy cut. Stamp the sentiment on kraft card and tear out.

Add some glitter glue to the flowers on the surfboard for some added sparkle!

Arrange six collage squares onto one side of the card and adhere. Adhere a piece of hessian to the opposite side.

Add some muslin/gauze scraps along with the surfboard and the sentiment stamp - adhere all the elements.

If you want to add any other beachy embellishments you can. To change the "occasion" of your card add a sentiment that matches - makes a versatile card!

Thanks for joining me today!

Happy Stamping!

Sharon

Two Romantic Hearts xxx

 Hi BPM Fans!

Here we are approaching the end of another month! I hope you have been enjoying our month of "Romance" and have felt inspired by the DT creations!

Today I am sharing an idea for a romantic card - perfect for lots of occasions depending on what sentiment you use! Always great to have an idea for any occasion cards using the same stamp!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Vintage Style Dancing Couple
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Heart from Scribble Hearts & Elements Set designed by Pam Bray
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Two Hearts One Love Phrase
Blank Page Muse Stencil: Hearts and Broken Hearts designed by Stephanie Eaton
Base Card
Card front covered with ink stained paper towel OR Patterned Paper
White Paint
Stamp Pad & Scrap Card
Glue or double sided tape, spatula and scissors
Embellishments

Instructions:
Cover your card front with paper towel. I use the paper towel I have blotted excess ink sprays with. Alternatively use patterned paper or gelli prints cut to slightly smaller than your base card front. Use your stencil, white paint and a spatula to apply the stencil design randomly over the card front. Allow to dry.

Stamp your BPM stamps onto the scrap card using your choice of ink colour and your choice of card stock colour. I have chosen kraft card and a red ink pad to co-ordinate with my paper towel background. Have fun with different coloured inks for your main images no need to stick to just black! Fussy cut your stamped images.

Adhere the hearts, vintage couple and wording along with any embellishments to the card front.

This card works well with any romantic wording/phrase stamps. Perfect for a wedding or engagement card or for your valentine/special person!

Happy stamping and creating and thank you for joining me again today!

Sharon

Double, Double Toil and Trouble!

Double, double, toil and trouble
Fire burn and cauldron bubble

Hi Everyone!

Hope you are embracing this spooky month of October and the upcoming Halloween festivities if you celebrate them where you live!

And I hope you have been getting a lot of inspiration from the blog this month with all the DT sharing their fabulously spooky creepy creations!

Make sure you pop over to the BPM Store - type "Halloween" into the search bar and start shopping from the huge range of stamps!!!!!!

So today I have done my usual and stamped "non" themed stamps and made them "themed"!

Hope you enjoy these little "witchy" tags using stamps designed by Stephanie Eaton!

Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Overcast Stitch You Are Stronger Character designed by Stephanie Eaton
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Zig Zag Stitches I need a Break Character designed by Stephanie Eaton
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Oh Son of a Witch Wording
Tags and Black Gesso
Collage Witches Hats & Masks (Art Tea Life Collage Sheet used for these tags)
White Card, Black Ink Pad and Coloured Ink Pad
Stencil, Texture Paste and Shimmer Ink Spray
Embellishments & Fibres
General supplies: glue, scissors, colouring medium, heat gun

Instructions:
Start by stamping your chosen characters onto white card and colouring with your choice of medium. Alternatively as you know I love stamping on kraft card as an option to colouring so you can do this too if you are not a colourer" makes it quick and easy and still looks great!! Fussy cut your stamped characters.

Stamp sentiment onto white card cut out and use coloured ink pad to edge.

Fussy cut your collage witch's hats and masks and adhere to your fussy cut characters. I just love how this changes the whole look of the character!

Next step is to "decorate" your tag background. Cover the whole tag with a thick layer of Black Gesso and allow to dry. Don't worry about any streak marks or thick lines - that adds to the texture of the background.

Once the gesso is dry use your stencil and texture paste to the tag and allow to dry. Then spray with your shimmery ink spray and allow to dry. If you want to speed up the process use a heat gun!

Arrange and adhere your stamped images and any embellishments to the tag and add some decorative fibres to the top of the tag and you have finished! I used some "cobweb" from a halloween pack, corner charm and some fibres.

Thanks for joining me yet again!

Happy Halloween!

Sharon

Quick Background Pages

Today our DT member Sharon is sharing a quick idea for making backgrounds using old book pages, washi tape, gesso, ink spray and Blank Page Muse Stamps.
This is a simple way to make backgrounds for ATC's, ATCoins, tags or even for adding into your journals or using to cover a notebook - just layer and adhere all the elements onto old book pages and stamp with your fav BPM rubber stamps!

Sharon used stamps designed by Michelle Frae Cummings

Smile When You Remember........

Hi Blank Page Muse Fans!

I hope you have been enjoying the DT creations so far this month! Always so much creativity and inspiration being shared here at the blog!

Today I am sharing some vintage style tags made with rubber stamps and collage elements!
I love combining rubber stamping with collage - a great way to compliment each other!
Supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Background Roses by Pam Bray
Blank Page Muse Stamp Set: Art Journaling #2 by Terri Sproul - "Remember When" & "Smile"
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Background Grunge Art Sheet by Pam Bray - "Single Rose"
Blank Tags
Collage Characters - used here Art Tea Life Collage Sheet
Ink Sprayed "Mop Up" Paper Towel
Embossing Ink & Gold Embossing Powder
Black Archival Ink & Distress Inks
Gesso
Kraft Paper Scraps
Scraps Muslin Cloth
Cloth Ribbon & Fancy Pin
Tools: heat gun, scissors, glue, sponge, spatula
Instructions:
The first step is to decorate your tag background.

Use a glue stick to cover the front of your tag and adhere the paper towel to the tag. Cut out around the tag leaving a border to fold over and adhere to the back of the tag to give a neat finish to the tag front. Then use a spatula and the Gesso and apply a very thin layer to the tag front. As you can see in the picture above the Gesso helps to tone the colour ready for the next step.
Ink the Rose Background Stamp with embossing ink and stamp onto the tag. Use gold embossing powder and a heat gun to set. the effect of this stamp over the background in gold is beautiful!
Decorate the plain cloth ribbon to add to the top of your tag. Use a sponge and some Distress inks to colour the ribbon and then stamp the Single Rose with Black Archival Ink randomly over the ribbon.
Stamp your wording stamps onto Kraft paper and tear out.
Fussy cut your collage elements and arrange on the tag along with the scrap of muslin cloth and wording stamp and adhere with glue. Attach the printed ribbon to the top with a fancy safety pin.
Hope you have enjoyed my post today!
Always so many ways to use your Blank Page Muse Stamps!
Enjoy!

A Valentine's Wish...

Hi Blank Page Muse Stamps Fans!
Have you been enjoying this month's "Valentine's" themed creations and inspiration?
I'm sharing a mixed media semi vintage style card today - perfect for you to make for that someone special!

Supplies:

Blank Page Muse Stamp: "Make a Wish" from the Dandelion Wishes with Butterflies Set
Blank Page Muse Stamp: Vintage Style Man & Woman from the Romance Classic Couples Set
Black Base Card
Card 1cm smaller than the front of your base card
Old Book Pages
White Watercolour Paper/Card & Small piece white card
Heart Stencil & Texture Paste
Ink Sprays and/or Brea Reese Glitter Ink or like Product
Black & Pink Archival Ink
Gold "Smooch"
Watercolour Pencils and Water Brush

Embellishments: ink stained muslin cloth, corner charms, diamante
General supplies: glue stick, glue, spatula, heat tool to speed up drying process, scissors, double sided tape, mounting tape

Instructions:
Start by cutting your base card from black card or using a pre-made card base. Use your glue stick to adhere torn pieces of old book pages over your card front piece which is cut to 1cm smaller than your card front. Cover the entire front with the pages and then trim excess from sides of card.

Use a "love" themed stencil to apply texture paste to the card front. Note: I didn't cover the entire front - it looks more effective to "miss" bits!! The stencil used here was cut from a piece of acetate on a Cameo Silhouette. We all have our favourite stencils- this I one of mine! Allow to dry.

Once the texture paste is dry spray some pink ink spray and Brea Reese glitter ink and spread over the page by spritzing with a bit of water and "moving" the ink around on the card. Gold and Pink colours used on this card. Allow to dry.

To add a finishing touch to the card front "edge" the piece with gold Smooch or like product. Allow to dry. Remember you can speed up any of the drying processes carefully with a heat tool.

Stamp the Romantic couple onto watercolour paper with Black Archival ink. Stamp the "Make a Wish" wording onto plain white card. Cut around the wording and edge with Pink Archival ink.

Colour the Romantic Couple with watercolour pencils and a water brush and when dry fussy cut the image ready to use on the card front.

Use double sided tape or glue to adhere the card front to the card base. Gather all your stamped images and embellishments ready to arrange and adhere to the card.

Adhere all the elements to the card - use mounting tape to adhere the main Vintage Couple.

Happy Stamping!
Sharon

Going Postal...

Hi Everyone!

Today I'm going postal with the fab "Correspondence" Stamp Set and creating some easy postcards!
And a handy tip - whilst you are making a mess make a bigger mess and create "extra" pieces to use later - you will see that I have also used the new "Background Grunge" set to make spare pieces whilst I was making these postcards!

Supplies:
  • Sin City Stamp Set: Correspondence
  • Sin City Stamp Set: Background Grunge
  • Tissue Paper/Deli Paper/Grease proof Paper/Paper Towel - any of these will work
  • Ink Sprays
  • Archival Ink Pads various colors
  • Index Cards 6 x 4 or Cardstock 6 x 4
  • Kraft colored paper or card
  • Sticky Mesh
  • Glue, Glue Stick, Matt Medium
  • Scissors
  • Postcard Backing - lots available online (I used a digital image by "OnePeculiarGirl@Etsy)
Instructions:

Firstly gather your ink sprays, papers and a large piece of paper or card to protect your desk from ink over spray! I have used white tissue paper, kitchen paper, deli paper and even a sheer single layer serviette.

Spray 2 or 3 different colored inks over your paper.
If your nozzles aren't clean you will get quite an array of patterned sprays!!
It all adds to the effect LOL!
Allow to dry.

While your papers are drying gather your stamps and Archival ink pads and your fabulous Sin City Stamps!

Stamp your papers randomly with background stamps using colored  inks. Stamp several times before re-inking - the faded image looks great as part of the background too!
Use black for a bold pattern or a softer color for a more subtle look.

Next step is to create the postcards.
I have used the piece of deli paper which was stamped with the "writing" from the "Correspondence" Stamp Set.
Cover one side of your 6 x 4 cards with glue or matt medium and attach the cards - smooth out to make sure the whole card adheres to the paper.
 Allow to dry.

Trim the excess paper from the cards. Stamp images of your choice onto Kraft colored card/paper with Ink. (Plum color used here - also used on the background paper).

Edge the card with the Ink. Cut out your stamped images.
Tear around the wording strip for a different effect.

Add some sticky mesh to the card backgrounds and arrange and adhere your stamped images on the cards. Place some of the images so they hang off the page and then trim them back - I like the effect of this. Remember to grab your  Ink and edge along the cut images to finish off.

Finally print off a postcard backing - you can find templates online or make your own. I have printed mine on Kraft coloured paper to match the stamped images on the front. Edge the postcard back with Archival Ink to match the front.

Hope you feel inspired to have a go making these postcards!

Happy Stamping!
