Shaken Hearts

Hello Blank Page Muse fans.  Happy June!!!  Gail here today with a shaker card using the beautiful large Femmes Lady with Hearts stamp.   The team is getting all interactive and/or postcardy this month and I decided to use this stamp and turn the three largest hearts into shaker windows.

Blank Page Muse Stamps used:

(Shop now and save! Use code BPMDtIona2019 to save 15% off your total order!)

Other Supplies Used:
Stitch Square die
Versamark Ink
Black Embossing Powder
Distress Inks
Promarkers
Aztec Metallic Copper Paint
Red Mirror Card
Red and White card
Acetate
Craft Foam
Clear Micro Beads

Stamp Femmes Lady with Hearts using Versamark ink on white card and emboss with black powder.  Also stamp the image on a piece of craft foam.

Carefully cut out the three hearts from the white embossed image, keeping inside the embossed line so you will have a nice frame around your shaker window.  Roughly cut out the hearts from the stamped foam image, cutting a bit outside of the heart outline.  Lay the two pieces over each other and check that the craft foam isn't visible.  If it is, cut a bit more away.

**I coloured the lady's hair with Henna Promarker, layering to produce the different shades of brown, and the hearts with Cherry Red Promarker.
Add some Aztec Metallic Copper paint to the beads in her hair, lips and eyelid. Worn Lipstick distress ink  can be used for the background hearts and her skin.
Use a stitched die and a piece of acetate with craft foam piece behind the card panel.

Fill the shaker widows with clear micro beads and back them with scraps of red mirror card.

** I made a bow for her hair using a die to cut two tiny hearts from the red mirror card.

Now is the time to give it a good shake and make sure there aren't any leaks!!!!

Mount the shaker panel and a red base card and shake!!  You know you want to!!!

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you get the chance to stamp something fun today!

Blank Page Muse Stamps Used:
Curious Penguin with Small Fish

Other Materials:
White Card Base
Black Archival ink
Red and Yellow Sharpie
Pumice Stone, Stormy Sky, Salty, Spiced Marmalade Ocean Distress inks
Water Brush

Squuueeeeee!  Isn't that little penguin just adorbs???  This is Blank Page Muse Curious Penguin with Small Fish.  You can also buy this penguin and some others the same style plus a load of small stamps as a sheet, Penguins on Ice Winter Holiday Stamp Sheet.  I think I will be using these a lot LOL.  Anyway, stamp the penguin and fish with black archival and colour some details with a red and a yellow sharpie.  Use Pumice Stone distress ink and a water brush on the penguin and his scarf, and Spiced Marmalade on the fish.  Do a water colour wash of Stormy Sky and Salty Ocean distress inks to make the background.  I did think about stamping Merry Christmas, but then I thought it could be a Hi! card.  Or a Hello Friend card.  Or a Hope you have a nice day card.  So many possibilities.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you get time to stamp something pretty today.  Hugz

Young Engineer

Hello Blank Page Muse fans.  Gail here today.
This month the team are looking at Masculine makes and steampunk or vintage styles.  I think the Katz stamps are perfect for cards for the men in our lives.   This Kitty with a fish on his head makes me think of a hapless youngster away from home for the first time.  Always remember, it's never too late to call your mother!!

Blank Page Muse Stamps used:
KATZ Kitty Cat with a Fish on His Head
Penguins on Ice Winter Holiday
Keep Calm and Call Your Fairy Godmother Word Phrase

(Shop now and save! Use code BPMDtIona2019 to save %15 off your total order!)

Other Supplies Used:
Double Stitch Rectangle die
Patterned Paper
Black Archival Ink
Brusho Powders
Distress Inks
Gel Pens
Glitter glue

I started by cutting a piece of patterned paper with Stamplorations Double Stitch Rectangle die and stamped the Cat with black archival ink.

I used the small steampunk snowflake stamps from the Penguins on Ice stamp set along the bottom of the card with black archival ink.

I stamped the cat again on white card and fussy cut.  I coloured with Hickory Smoke distress ink and used gel pens on the fish.  I modified the sentiment, cos I figured when you are in a fix like this you don't have time to wait around for a fairy godmother to turn up!  I stamped the sentiment on vellum so I could move it around on my card and decide where to stamp it.

I stamped the sentiment using blue dye ink and used a watercolour wash of light brown Busho on the snowflake/cogs.

A bit of iridescent glitter on the fish and done!!

Thanks for dropping by, I hope you get the chance to stamp something fun today!
