Take time to get away... and create!

Oh happy day! I took a few moments and snuck away to my studio to play for a bit. I grabbed one of my favorite little stamps and a sentiment to go with it and then played a bit with my background and created this cute and simple card.

To create the background, sprinkle various Brushos on your watercolor paper and then mist with water. The Brushos magic will create a beautiful background.

The stamps I used were:

Sometimes life gets busy and it is important to remember to always make time for what you love! I love creating! I love new techniques! ...and I LOVE Blank Page Muse!

Until next time... Happy Creating!

Angel in Blue Jeans

Hello Blank Page Muse fans.  Gail here today.
I absolutely adore this Angel of Time Pocket Watch Hourglass Collage stamp.  I decided to vintage her up and give her some blue jeans.

Other Supplies Used:
Bazzill Lima Bean card
White Card
Black Archival Ink
Brusho Powders, brown, black and violet
Distress Inks
WOW gold Embossing Powder

I started by stamping Angel of Time Pocket Watch Hourglass Collage on Lima Bean Bazzill and embossing with gold powder.

I did a background wash using Brown Brusho powder in water.  I used Violet Brusho for the clock and Black Brusho for the frame.

Using my craft knife I distressed the edge of the panel to expose the original Lima Bean colour.  Faux layer!!!

Then I stamped the angel again on white card using black and blue ink and fussy cut the bits I wanted to use.

Thanks for dropping by.  I hope you get the chance to stamp something fun today!

Spring Fairy Altered Clothes Pin

Hello all,
Spring is beginning  here so I have a Spring themed altered peg  (clothes pin)
to share using stamps from The Blank Page Muse.

Products used:
Docrafts Giant Peg
Resin Flowers
Lemon Brusho Powder
Green Faux Moss

Instructions:
Paint the peg in gesso.
Once dry, stamp over with the brick wall texture in red ink.

Mix yellow Brusho powder with a small amount of water.
Paint it over the peg.

Stamp out a fairy and a flower onto card.
Colour in with marker pens.
If you do not have a colour chart, write the colour number onto paper with the corresponding colour so you can see how the colours work together.

Cut out the images.
The flowers are taller so glue a hat pin onto the back to hold it up.

Glue green faux moss onto the top and then use blobs of glue to hold the images in place.
Add tiny flowers and butterflies to finish
