Hello! I love to make Franken Paper for all kinds of projects –
collage, ATCs, inchies, and lots more! It is fun to see the results when you
are done because every page you create turns out different and I know there are lots of versions of Franken Paper out there but I wanted to share how I create my version.
Don't you just love the grunginess of this paper!
Supplies-
Scraps of paper
Masking tape
Washi tape
Ranger Archival Ink
Embossing powder
Spackling
Stencils
Watercolor paper
Gel medium
To make Franken paper, I use watercolor paper because it
can take almost anything you can throw on it! I start by gluing scraps of lightweight papers, mostly old book pages, down then add torn pieces of masking tape
and washi tape to the surface.
Then water down some acrylic paint and paint over the first layer of papers. Some of the edges may come up, just glue them down with a glue stick.
With the stencils and spackling, add some interesting shapes to the
paper and spray with assorted ink colors.
Cut to size for your project. Seal with gel medium and let dry, the Franken paper is now ready for embellishments.
