Thinking About You

Hello, stamping friends. Welcome by the blog again and thanks for joining me, Karen Letchworth, as I share another FUN card that I created using some of the FAB stamps from Blank Page Muse!  The card I'm sharing today uses primarily rubber stamps.  You can really stretch your money by purchasing the rubber version of a stamp.  You can still use rubber stamps in your Misti, and they're just a really great value. Of course, if you're strictly an acrylic stamp person, Blank Page Muse has that as well.  These FAB stores always offer you the option of acrylic or rubber; so your options are wide open.
I stamped the DARLING Bird w/Small Butterflies (rubber) two times and fussy cut those as well.  I attached them all to my growing card base.  Can you see the GORGEOUS swirls, words and butterflies inside this bird?  GORGEOUS!!!  The final layer is the sentiment (Thinking of You) which is found in the Special Day Stamps - Birthday Hugs Stamp Set by Pam Bray (acrylic).
You can read more about my card by visiting my blog, My Cup Runneth Over.  In the meantime, don't forget to visit us here often for lots of great inspiration.  We're always happy to have you stop by and visit.

Blessings,
Karen

Altered Playing Cards!

 Hi Crafty peeps!

Can you believe we are already into May!

Today I am sharing some altered playing cards - I haven't altered any cards for some time - I have been mostly doing art journal pages.

To create the backgrounds I added some scrunched tissue paper to the card and sponged some distress ink around the edges and across the card. I used clear gesso and the "Monarch Journal" TCW stencil available in store: click here. Once dry I added some black liquid acrylic paint and spritzed. And to finish off the background I used the text stamp from the "Correspondence" Stamp Set available in store: click here.

Next I added some elements to the front of the cards to finish off. I had some fabric butterflies from my stash and Tim Holtz paper dolls along with these stamps from the store: "Gothic Garden Flowers" by Miss Rach, phrase stamp from the "Fashionista" Sheet at IBFS.

Quick and easy vintage feel altered playing cards!

***Remember to us the code BPMSharon at the store for 15% off ***
So many fab stamps to choose from!
Note: you can use the code at either the IBFS Store OR the BPM Store - why not do an order from each and increase your stash!

And visit our social media sites for more stamping fun!

Wooden boxes are perfect to make shadow boxes and little shrines.  It's so much fun to make and decorate them using bright colors and rhinestones. Mixed Media Art Tile

 Hello, it's Monique here.

Today on the blog I have a video for you showing how I made an art tile. I am not sure if this is an official name for this but I did not know what to call it. The base is a sturdy piece of mixed media paper (10,5 cm x 10,5 cm, but any size you like will do). It's a little piece of art, created with lots of layers of paint, stamps and collage. You will find making these tiles is very relaxing, just use your favorite colors paint and stamps and create (abstract) art. The technique used will also work perfectly in an art journal or to make a mixed media card.

Christmas Planner Pages

Hi everyone! It's me Tonya! Tomorrow is the big day! Are you ready for Christmas? I am barely. 😉  But I did have time to work in my travelers notebook for this weeks before the pen planner pages using an assortments of stamps from Blank Page Muse.

I started by inking several of the Angel Art Classic Style Flourishes Stamps with green ink and stamping onto a piece of Watercolor Paper.

I cut numbers to corresponded with the days of the week for my pages using the Numbers Cut and Emboss Diecuts. I inked the edges of the numbers with a red ink and adhered to each page. I stamped the package from the Country Vintage Christmas Stamp Sheet by Pam Bray and the ornament from the Small Fancy Holiday Ornament Rubber Stamp onto watercolor paper, painted with different inks, fussy cut each out and adhered to each page.

The Santa is from the Steampunk'd Christmas Holiday Stamp Sheet I completed the same steps as I did for the present and ornament on the pages before. I used leftover scraps from the numbers to cut out holly and I added red flatback pearls to create berries.

Also from my stash I added an ornament, Christmas sentiment to the page and a yellow glossy dot to the ornament that the Santa is holding. I added glitter glue to the Santa's hat and outfit.

The Saturday and Sunday pages I inked and stamped the Mini Mandala Snowflakes Art Rubber Stamps onto watercolor paper, punched out each with a circle punch, adhered to each day and added a tiny bit of glitter glue to the center of each snowflake. There you have it my planner pages before the pen. Be sure to hop on over to their website, which can be found HERE, and pick these stamps and supplies for your next project.
As always if you have questions about this project please let me know. Also if you aren't following Blank Page Muse on their other social medias you can find them on:
