Before the Pen October Planner Pages Spread

Hi everyone! It's me, Tonya and I am super excited to share my first blog post using Blank Page Muse stamps by Pam Bray!

I gathered up a B6 Size NotebookMISTI Stamping ToolWicked Black Archival Ink (it's water proof), Watercolor Brush, assortment of watercolors/inks and Watercolor PaperBoo! Halloween Planner Invitation StampsFall is in the Air Planner Stamps and Everyday Planner Stamps to start my planner pages.

I started by placing the days of the week stamps from the Everyday Planner Stamps onto the MISTI Stamping Tool and inking with Wicked Black Archival Ink.

I stamped onto a piece of Watercolor Paper. Then apparently I was so into stamping the rest of the images onto the watercolor paper, water coloring and fussy cutting or using a punch that I didn't take any photos of those steps. UGH! 😳

But I did take photos of the completed pages! Before using a punch to punch out the Monday though Friday stamps and the numbers I watercolored over those and let dry before using a mini tag punch on the days of the week and a circle punch on the numbers. I stamped the "splash" stamp from the Boo! Halloween Planner Invitation Stamps onto each small box.

I used the sunflower, leaf, jack-o-latern, owl and set of pumpkins from the Boo! Halloween Planner Invitation Stamps and Fall is in the Air Planner Stamps. Once I stamped all onto a piece of watercolor paper, I watercolored and I fussy cut each one out.

I adhered the images next to each day of the week and number. I added tiny google eyes to the owl and a little glitter glue to the center of each sunflower. I watercolor/inked up the rest of the watercolor paper and cut out numbers for each day using the Number Diecuts from the Side Kick Diecut Machine. I placed the numbers of each day on top of a scalloped circle punch before adhering to each section on the pages. I also added a little washi tape at the bottom of each section to dress my pages up.

How to create an Altered Planner Page

Chris here and today I am sharing the "B" side of my  calendar insert i shared with you on August 3. I created to hold some of my stickers and embellishments for my Create 365 planner (which I am using as my daily inspiration and make me smile planner:D ).  This is what it looks like in my planner.

To create this project I used:

Sin City Stamps:Wish, Love of Butterflies
Distress Inks and Distress Tool- Spiced Marmalade. Mowed lawn, Broken China, Fired Brick
Gesso
Ink- Ranger Archival
American Crafts DIY paper
package insert from Create 365 Calender sticky pads

If you remember I started by gesso-ing my package insert because I wasn't sure what I was going to do on the back side. .I really didn't need to gesso this based on how I ended up finshing the project.

I then started adding torn strips of the American Crafts papers to  my insert until it was completely covered.

I then randomly started adding Distress Inks to my page.

I then stamped my Sin City Stamp Images onto the piece. I restamped some of the Wildflowers from  the Wish collection without re-inking to create some "background" images.

And here is the Final Project.

Every time I see this page in my planner I smile!

How to create a Planner Pocket Page using product packaging and Sin City Stamps

Chris here and today I am sharing this calendar insert I created to hold some of my stickers and embellishments for my Create 365 planner (which I am using as my daily inspiration and make me smile planner:D ).  This is what it looks like in my planner.

To create this project I used:

Sin City Stamps: Fairies and Blossoms 1, Fairies and Blossom 2
ColourArte : Twinkling H2Os- Mediterranean Blue, Orange Peel, Lemon Grass, Meridian Blue, Playful peony, Mandarine Citrine
Kraft Paper
Gesso
Ink-Memento, Ranger Archival
Galaxy Marker- American Crafts
Copic Markers- V01, V06, B21, Y15, R22, YG63, YR04, R27, Y11
Spectrum Noir Markers - IB1
package insert from Create 365 Calender sticky pads

I started with the package insert and cut a piece of Kraft paper to use as my pocket.

I then covered each piece with Gesso. When they were dry I flipped the package insert over and covered the back side with Gesso.  As you can see below my gesso stuck a bit to my surface but I left the rough look for some extra texture.

I then stamped my Fairies and Blossoms 1 & 2 images onto the envelope portion of my project.  I love these huge fairy flowers. I did use my galaxy marker to color in any portions of stamps that did stamp evenly on my rough surface.

I then used the backing from my cushion stamp to mask of the Blossom and used my Twinkling H2Os to color the background. The diagonal line is my planned cutting line for my envelope.

I then used my Copics and Spectrum Noir pens to color in my images and then trimmed my envelope.

I then started on the background and started adding splatters and a color wash of Twinkling H20s

When I was satisfied with my background I stamped some more Fairies and Blossoms images and colored my images with my Copics.

I then attached my envelop top with 2 sided tape and viola! I have a custom made inspirational pocket folder for my Planner!

Hope you enjoyed this post!  Stayed tuned to my next post on August 17 to see the B side of my pocket page!
