It's almost that time again! The first snow has fallen, the turkey is about to be eaten, and people everywhere are getting ready for a visit from the jolly ol' elf himself! Today's card, has a blustery backdrop to Santa on his way from the North Pole.
I started with an A2 panel of white cardstock. I inked it, from light to dark, using Altenew ink pads. Ink blending can be a workout, but if you use a larger brush, you cover more area and it goes more quickly.
I took the Butterfly Trails Circle Pattern Stencil and placed it on my panel, I pounced white pigment ink through it several times until it stayed white.
The stencil is thin, so I had to apply it twice, side-by-side. I then drew in snow flakes with a white acrylic paint pen. Then stamped Merry Christmas from Steampunk'd Christmas Holiday stamp set.
After completing my snow storm background, I stamped Santa from Steampunk'd Christmas Holiday stamp set in Memento because I'm going to use my alcohol markers. I cut around the Santa with a postage die from my stash.
I colored the Santa and added a postmark from the same stamp set.
