Hello! Welcome back to the BPM blog. We are glad you are here. The theme this month is on Kindness-Gratitude-Friendship. I created a generic card that can work on any of these themes since I did not add a sentiment.
The Blank Page Muse products that I used on this card are:
I stamped the flower image on watercolor cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I used a stamp positioner so I can restamp the image. Since the watercolor paper I used is textured, I did not get a crisp image on the first stamping. The stamp positioner helps in making sure that I stamp on the same spot.
I heat set the flowers to dry it before applying ink.
I colored the flowers using watercolor markers. I only applied the pigment on the inside end of the petals.
I used a waterbrush to spread the pigment to the tips of the petals.
I used another color for the stamen.
I dried the ink with a heat gun.
I fussy cut the flowers.
I die cut stems on green cardstock. I adhered the stem to the flower.
I adhered the flowers to the card front of an A2 white note card. I positioned the leaf stencil and blended ink to add leaves to the stems. I masked any open areas that I don't need to apply ink on.
I was going to ground the stems but decided against it. I like the white space. How about you?
Keeping this card without a sentiment allows me to customize it later on or just leave it like this.
