A CAS Flamingo Card

Hello! Welcome back to the BPM blog. Today's project is clean and easy to remake. I also created a stencil for this project that I can keep and reuse for future projects.

I used the following Blank Page Muse products for my card:
I used watercolor pencils to color the birds. These images are not hard to color at all. You can also use any color medium for coloring. I fussy cut the image after I colored the birds leaving a thin white border around it.

I created my own heart stencil by repurposing one of the plastic dividers of my son's broken accordion file folder. There might be some difficulty die cutting through this plastic despite adding a metal shim to the die cut machine sandwich. Just reinforce the cut with a craft knife, and you are set to go. You just created your very own DIY stencil.

After I blended ink on the open space of my DIY stencil, I positioned the Clouds & Drops stencil over the DIY stencil. I used the same ink for blending to make this card very simple.

An embossed sentiment completes this CAS card. Very easy, right? Another option is to stamp the birds on the card front and masking it to protect the birds from the ink blending. In doing so, this card will truly be a one layer card.
