Creating a Transparent Stamped Image

Greetings!  Today I am excited to share this cool technique I discovered to create a "transparent" stamped image.  Now this may not be new but it was definitely new to me.  And all because I really wanted a wood grain birdhouse for my card but was too lazy to fussy cut the stamped image.

To recreate this card you will need:

Start by stamping and embossing your Large Summer Time Birdhouse from I Brake for Stamps onto the wood grain paper from Sweet Passion 6x6 inch sheets Paper Pack designed by Pam Bray .  These papers are shiny which helps with this technique! (if papers were not shiny the inks would absorb much more into the paper and not look so transparent!)

Color your image with Copics or other alcohol markers
You can just see how the "wood grain" shows through your colored image.  The image almost looks like stained glass!

Trim your image and add mat onto other papers from the Sweet Passion 6x6 inch sheets Paper Pack designed by Pam Bray

Add trimmed paper doilies to corners if desired!

I hope you are inspired to get creative with your stamps and papers from Blank Page Muse and I Brake For Stamps.
